Wishing you, Carly, and your baby a good future, Good work on the Diesel heater.. Heres one for the dog. Ok a break from the football . . So I'm at Pets at Home buying a bag of dog food for my dog. While in the check-out line, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog food, RIGHT??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Dog Food Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with handfuls of dry food and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a spaniel's backside and a lorry hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Now that you've read this I have to confess, I copied it. Now make someone else laugh 😉 😂😂😂

Mate you won’t remember this but we bumped into you on Mylor beach when you were dog walking… I think I introduced you to my now 10 year old twins… so, they were born a couple of months early with a low birth weight but are now strapping tall and well… parenthood is hardwork and stressful… I sometimes wonder if I have PTSD from their early birth but I’m so proud to be called Daddy. They grow up so quick so do enjoy your time together!

Good to see work resuming. It's well worth making the repairs, doing the maintenance, and certainly the upgrades too. I can't remember if you have a washing machine and dryer on board, probably requires some battery/solar/charging, etc. upgrades, but so important for the things that need to be washed and dried in any conditions. Hope Carly and son are doing well. I'm sure Hank will soon be over all the upheaval and be ready for the baby's testing and tugging.

Good job Dom - One thought. Heaters from the main brands do like to be run hard from time to time for a while to help them stay clean - the same idea as a diesel engine running hard v idling. Might be worth trying it in future to extend service interval

I had a Webasto diesel air heater in my sleeper compartment on my Kenworth. Worked so good even well below freezing that never needed to run on high. Then it quit. Carboned up. After cleaning it the tech told me to run it on high for a while each day I was using to get a better burn. So no longer just used it to keep the sleeper warm but opened the curtain and cracked a window and ran it on full and heated the whole truck even North of the Arctic Circle . Prayers for your son and Carly and you and Hank too.

Glad to see you back and that mum and baby are doing ok. I too was premature and born at 7 months of age, like the runt of the litter as my brother used to say. I became the strongest in the family due to having to fight to survive from day one and I’m sure your little man will do the same. Nice to see Cadoha coming along, look forward to future episodes and hope Hank is ok too. Best wishes from Carmarthenshire.

Internal fan broke on mine and by the time I’d fixed it ( time /parts ) decided to buy a spare as (a) cheap (b)contains a full list of all possible spares and (c) if the heater fails it’s a 30 minute job to swap in the new one before my good lady has time to check the bus timetable home 😂 PS Feel for you and Carrie as you must feel conflicted through pressure to put out content on KZbin (as its your bread and butter) but you have so much more important things to think of ... I would keep anything short and your supporters will continue to watch / subscribe etc through challenging times

Cracking job there! Those heaters remind me of the bigger versions installed in some military vehicles (not naming names), they take a while to heat up but the entire cab feels like heaven when fully operational, so I can understand why you would refer to it as a 'her'. 😏 I don't own a vessel yet, but I enjoy watching your videos as it feeds my fantasy of potentially owning one one day. I hope you are all doing well, keep safe.

Wishing all three of you the very best fortune in the months ahead, I can only begin to imagine the worries and concerns you have over your little man (no matter how positively you are tackling this). On the diesel heater - good catch. Always a good idea to clean and service the heater in the summer months.😉 The external sooty deposits should be viewed with concern as that is synonymous with carbon monoxide - have you got a functioning detector nearby? Best wishes.😀👍⛵️

Great watch as ususal! I finally bought a boat a few months ago after watching sailing videos since lockdown! I've only just got enough charge in the battery after adding solar to find out the diesel heater in the boat (that I couldn't test before buying) is working! Good to see they are easy to maintain (although getting to mine might need a contortionist!)

Ho Dom, Thanks for the update, best wishes for everyone. Just one thing you could have do e to the heater, there is a mesh screen around the glow plug that will be probably plugged with carbon, this also stops the heater from igniting. Easy to replace with the glow plug removed...there are plenty of videos you can watch to get the best method of removing. Keep up the good work.
