Amazing vessel! I love watching those yellow amas piercing through the waves! Two questions: why doesn't the dingy go at the stern? And what do you do with the space under the cockpit? Perhaps moving the batteries in there would better prevent overheat.

Hey folks, quick update on wound care best practices: we don't use alcohol to disinfect anymore. Alcohol and hydrogen peroxide damage the host tissue (your finger in this case) and increase the likelihood of infection compared to doing nothing. Best practice is to wash with mild soap and rinse for 5 minutes, and keep it bandaged to prevent contamination. Next, it is important to keep the wound moist to speed healing. Aquaphor is the best thing to apply to your wound, but Neosporin is almost as good, as these will keep the wound moist while allowing excess fluids to seep out. So you wash with soap and water, apply aquaphor, and bandage. Clean, reapply, and rebandage as necessary. If you need disinfectant, Betadine or Chlorhexidine work great and are less harmful to your own tissue than classic alternatives, but are associated with slightly worse outcomes than just cleaning with soap in almost all cases. Happy sailing!

It's odd that people have known this for decades at least, but people still use alcohol and hydrogen peroxide and damage the human. I've known this about hydrogen peroxide for fifty years at least. Alcohol IS good to preserve dead tissue in a jar?

I dont know how to convey this. But for a split second, one scene with Elayna holding one of he kiddos in bed, early morning light spilling in. and Elayna's eyes open while Darwin (i think) was sleeping. that split second scene not only made my feel completely at peace but it LOOKED like Elayna was the same, completely whole, comfortable and at peace. if anything i think its apparent that Elayna and Riley are both back into their passion. Finalyl sailing and exploring again. and stress slowly washing away. Much love to you all and the whole Crew. always a joy.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip to Borneo. We were lucky enough to take our young boys to Borneo back in 2009. Not as lucky as you to sail up the river but still an unforgettable experience. We saw the elephants orangutans, proboscus monkeys, hornbills, a viper, and so much more. We visited the turtle sanctuary to witness nesting and hatching. I have been so moved watching the boys enjoy this wonderful adventure. I lost my older son nearly 2 years ago, and am still grieving, but your video has brought back such precious memories for me. In 2012 my wife and I spent time at an Eco Lodge along that river and spend several days with a guide in a small boat exploring. We saw a ton of proboscis monkeys, and a few Orangutan, they are very high up in the trees and hard to spot. But the most amazing thing was on our last day (my wife's birthday) we came upon a heard of 40-50 pigmy elephants at the rivers edge. It was the most magical experience to watch them so close up, we'll never forget it. Looking forward to your next episode..
