OK! I love your videos and I would like to ask you to talk more about how to spearfish, like your cooking videos, which are great too but I want to know how you find your spots, pick your targets, what's the range of your guns, what kind of spearguns you use, & why? Just a thought! Thanks!

Looks like you were having fun.....think you might consider DJI Care Refresh warranty (with your next drone purchase) especially with flying around rigging and over water so much. FYI....not to put a downer on your find, but I would strongly suggest you get advice (from QPWS) regarding the collection and possesion of that vertebrae (as it is partial remains of native wildlife especially a CITIES registered animal), I'm not sure how Qld operates but it is better to dot your i's and cross your t's on this one. Cheers guys
@sailingpopao4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Bunyip, yep I’ve done the run around with department of environment and also fisheries but no solid answer- surprise, surprise. They don’t seem stressed about me keeping it and didn’t seem to now if I even needed a permit (helpful bunch 😂) I’ve put through a couple of emails so I’ve got something in writing if anything ever came about from it. Funny you say that re the drone... that’s exactly what we did this time 😂😂😂 it’s a great deal but we do have to physically have the drone so hoping it doesn’t go splashing in deep water 😂
@bunyipdan4 жыл бұрын
@@sailingpopao Good idea to keep the correspondence, it is a CITES registered animal (part there of) so it will most likely require a permit to possess (red tape, but cheap compared to potential fines and agro). In the NT these are provided by Parks and Wildlife at no cost, but require a permit application, and potential refusal (should be low risk if there is no commercial benifit). Yep, operating a drone around water definitely makes DJI Care is a good idea, but you do have to recover it to make a claim, guess you could cover it in bubble wrap. You can get inflateable floats but this does effect performance, manuverability and are a real hassle so if you have to go minimal......thin foam plate stuck to it so it won't sink straight to the bottom?

@@sailingpopao guys I’m off until the 1st February , I may just get a taste of the freedom you have , is you tube enough to keep you guys afloat or do you still have to work part time , I don’t have any debt but have noticed since we moved aboard full time maintaining the boat isn’t cheap
@sailingpopao4 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s a solid Xmas break 👌👌 Unfortunately it’s not enough to live off. We’ve kept costs pretty low with the boat but will be heading back to work over summer to top up the kitty. I had some event work lined up earlier in the year but it all fell through with covid so we’ve had a long time work-free and the savings account is looking real sad 😆 it’s nice knowing we can just drop anchor and work wherever/whenever we need and not have to pay rent or electricity 👌
@richardkaye22284 жыл бұрын
@@sailingpopao sounds like you have it worked out guys , the wife has dropped to 3 days a week and I’m at 4 and a bit , next year we are still deciding weather to work 3 days a week part time and have the rest off and go away for short stints or work 8 months of the year and go cruising for 4 months full time , it would be nice to go cruising and still be able to afford to do dinner and things without having to worry about money so I guess we will see what the new year brings , call in on way back for a frosty one , chow

Yes it’s always a toss up, money or roam with no commitments 😂 we always seem to choose the later. Cruising seasons work well with taking big chunks of time off but whatever works for you and your line of work.
