As we go in to lockdown on our sailboat we rush to replace our solar panel and stock the freezer by spearfishing fresh Spanish Mackerel. We cook it up and make some fresh Hawaiin Poke and enjoy our time on the stunning Gold Coast, Australia on our sailboat

Try adding Caulerpa Lentillifera/sea grapes/green caviar to the poke. Will add on more flavour to it. Typically found near rocky shallow shores where I’m from. Not sure if available at your end. Anyhow, great content as usual. Stay safe.

Turns out there’s a little nook between our rudder and hulls that the baitfish like to hide in, it actually happened a couple of times in that spot. Love witnessing little acts of nature like that 👌

@@sailingpopao Batemans Bay, Tuross River, they are probably a bit too far South of Sydney. Some of the other youtubers have done spearfishing vids off Port Hacking and the fads there for big kingys. Then again you have the whole of Sydney Harbour as well for great content with Nelsons Bay, Pitttwater/Hawkesbury on the way. There's enough Rivers on the way for years of content lol. I'm planning to do road trip and tow the tinny and a swag. Can't make up my mind to do Nambucca or Clarence River for a week.
