Love your channel. The info on sailing, safety, tools, preparing, and planning. You go into detail and provide some of the best info to those that are seeking to enter the sailing lifestyle or to those already in it. You are usually the first channel I seek to watch after your posting of a new video. Keep up the great videos and thank you for all your time, dedication to the videos, and recognizing your followers and supporters.

Just catching up on the older videos. What a wonderful job and very sensible safety precautions. One of the best crew members I ever knew was a retired dentist we referred to as Dr. Pick. He would show up with a travel packet of no longer used dental tools. He would spend his off watch hours using them to scratch out every last bit of grit in the places we lesser crew could not venture. Perhaps a little OCD is a professional asset? 😀

I have to say that you are one of my favorite video blogs. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos, particularly the technical videos. We just bought our Hylas 47 and are about 3 years behind you to throwing off our bow lines for good. I hope one day our paths cross and we can buy you both a beer! In the meantime, we'll continue to enjoy your videos and follow along on your adventure. Fair winds and full sails!

Awesome giveback. I have been watching for some time and want to thank you both. I am new to sailing but the inspiration I have received from your channel and a number of others have brought me to a point of a life decision. After studying the idea for over a year I purchased a 44ft cutter lying in the Keys. We got our first week aboard in March and it has been life changing for both me and my wife. We are counting the days until we get back to her. Perhaps one day we will cross paths in a lovely anchorage somewhere and share a bottle of nice wine. Until then, continued success to you both from us on the s/v Ravenwing.

She had been on the hard 18 years. We fell in love with her instantly and have spent the past 3 years completely refitting. Relaunched and moved on this is July. Some more work to do and then we plan to set sail for who knows where. Hoping someday we end up in the same place as you two so we can buy the beer... Cheers!

That Garmin watch you had was really cool, I didn't know that they did anything like that. I just googled it and it seems to be the Garmin Quatrix - is that the watch that you've got? It seems a tad expensive but actually a really good idea and I think that I might get one myself. On the other hand - Ray-Bans, seriously? OK, so I have a pair of Oakley sunglasses so I can't really talk. Although one thing I would say to people is that companies like Ray-Ban, Oakley etc all do really good prescription sunglasses (including varifocal) which are also polarising. Another thing to perhaps think about is when you are filming. Polarising filters on your camera have the same effect as polarising lenses on your sunglasses. It makes a huge difference if you ever want to film dolphins or anything else from above the surface. That short clip you did of holding your sunglasses in front of the camera shows what a polarising filter does for a camera (without having to hold your sunglasses in front of the camera all the time)

Abacos Island are a great place. I chartered there a long time ago as part of a SAIL magazine flotilla. We had the smallest boat but the fastest sailors. Hope you got a chance to visit Man-O War Cay. I bought a local made back pack there and I still have it. They had the best goombay cooler rum drinks, and haven't been able to find any place that makes then as well. Great channel and keep enjoying those sunsets.

Appreciate the hard work, and the footage. Where were the anchorages you were in? I think you mentioned Great Sale (is that where you were?), what else. See I make note of these for when we do the Bahamas, so I’d love to know or better yet have you mention in the vlog. Agree with others. Good to hear and see the safety aspects. We stress PFDs too.
