What a bummer about Bill's boat shed, ouch. Good to see that Wave Rover was successfully moved to the completion shed.

You've established a great helping community. I'm loving these 580 class and 650s. My husband is worried..... I'm really liking the idea of building these little boats. Cheers :)

Great to hear. Clear a little space in your garage and "crack on". There are few thing more rewarding in life than building and sailing your own boat. BTW, I almost went with the 580 but ultimately decided that I needed a little more space to do the long distance ocean sailing that I wanted.
@frankandtanyastegne34522 жыл бұрын
@@RoversAdventure lol. I know a little something about that. My father built a Corbin 39 in our backyard in Toronto. I grew-up thinking that was the "norm"... It is for a Dutch Immigrant family lol. Currently I'm sailing a little Canadian 7.4 sailboat that my husband was kind enough to re-wire and help me refit. My kids and I are live-aboards all summer. I've been contemplating the 580 for the racing lol. Truth, they are tiny. We will see 😉. All the Best.

Fantastic update Alan on so many fronts: Bill's wonderful spirit in the face of adversity calls back memories of "The Island Spirit" captured in Stan Roger's song about the Mary Ellen Carter....Bill you will rise again with that health attitude.. The team work provided by your friend proves that while the Island has seen many changes of the years, what makes it one of the special places on this globe still remai The footage of the trip to the Homestead was like a homecoming for us to our adopted home as we took every turn with you to the shop. Last but not least....Leonardo Da Vinci once said that great sculptures must have a pleasing and different look every 2-3 degrees as you circle the artwork.....now that we has seen WR650 out in the open she fits that requirement perfectly....Congratulations ....this little boat is one for the ages... Thanks for taking us along on this big move.

Bill your thoughts are what they should be life is full of adversities that what makes us hearty stout men, you just move on. Which means he holdfast as the old sailors would say, and stay your course. It's just that simple. You'll get there, you'll get back to where you know you need to be. I'd like to build a shed for my boat the same as Bill's. he said it was the wood itself that failed. My question, would he rebuild with a different kind of wood? My guess ordinary pine was used, and spruce stronger, less likely to break? Anything else he'd do different? Thanks

We discussed doing a few changes to how he could rebuild. Best thing to do is check out his channel. I left a link in the video description above.

Honestly the day of release isn’t important to me. If you release on day that is inconvenient to me I simply watch it a day or two later. I might feel differently if the content were time sensitive like previews of an upcoming sporting event. But your content can be watched the day of release or a week later without affecting my enjoyment of the video.

why you dont build with concrete ? here, concrete is cheaper than wood, no point in building a shed like that in wood... specialy in hurrican area...
