Over the ocean and through the lines, to grandmother's house we go. Happy Days makes a fine home, the crew has no complaints. Finn running the galley, Bella the wheelhouse, Pippi the salon. A pretty picture- 20:06. Another- 20:58. Ya made it. Good voyage, captain.

What great parents you are! And what a fine bunch of kids! How good it is to have their childhood and adventures documented in this way. I look forward to when they can put their own independent views. Maybe become young writers/videographers of their own stories. Excellent work all of you Sixers.

Just a suggestion, a sheet metal workshop could form a stainless steel folded leading edge to protect those rudders, say 1mm thick and just sikkaflex them in position then prime and anti foul. Good luck!

Great suggestion! We have since repaired them and added additional fibreglass to the leading edge. 😊

Think about putting a strip of metal on the front of the rudders or maybe some carbon fiber. Love watching your videos.

Thanks, we’ve since repaired them with additional fibreglass on the leading edge.

Great video, even though you'd just come on watch, luckily you still had the awareness to notice a slight dissipation in your engine and caught the long line issue straight away

So true… could’ve ended differently if we hadn’t picked up the change in engine sound.

I find it a little surprising that the leading edges of the rudders do not have some kind of aluminum reinforcement.

True. We’ve since repaired them with additional fibreglass on the leading edge.

well, a small protective strip of 0,3-0,5mm inconel steel bent to the rudder leading edge shape and glued on could solve some future issues....
@sailingwithsix2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, we ended up reinforcing with fibreglass so hopefully that will hold up 🙏
