Really enjoyed the calm racing with your daughter. What a great way to encourage her and calm her fears.

Izzy will either get there or walk away. The fact that she rides a great big kicky horse which has a mind of its own makes me hope that she'll persist with dinghy racing and want to master it. Parents have just got to suck it up, be gentle and supportive - as you are.

Nice! I had one child who was nervous about many things, but completely fine with boats and another who was fine with most things, but took quite a while to get comfortable with boats. 😂

Spring finally came although on certain days it doesn't seem like it wants to stay. Excellent to see you out enjoying a day on the water. Please video more.

Nice video, thanks! Boat should have done a turn at 37:31 for touching a mark.

I thought so too, but you can't really tell from the video if it touched or not.

@@rocykel the flag wrapped over her head! definitely touched.

@@b0ne5ish Ok, I thought it was buoy-hull contact that mattered. That would be the logical rule. I don't race.

How many different dinghy classes raced together here?
@SailingwiththeFoxwellFamily6 ай бұрын
Thats the way racing is in the UK with most club racing being done on a handicap basis. Not as good as fleet racing but then any sailing is better than non at all
