I love this channel! AND so do a few others- congrates on the recognition. Either by instinct or for thought you guys have the formula. First is the youthful exuberance. Love your channel and have watch you since the beginning. I was a sailor until 2020 when I sold my my boat. I am now the owner of a 65’ smudge pot! It is a wooden 65’ Chris Craft Constilation. I really appreciate how you attack and fix issues on Yaba. It gives me the confidence to handle repairs and upgrades on my classic boat. So many times over the years you could have given up and walked away. Yet you both persisted, and became more knowledgeable throughout the process. The ‘short’ repairs to stop Yaba from sinking turned into a ‘long’ total rebuild which was amazing to follow but incredibly hard on you both to complete. So well done. Many would have given up. I would let the mast dry up for quite some time before installing the mast-cap. Maybe build an umbrella/bimini for the mast? I would very much prefer to see the wood humidity below 20% before closing it up and hence, avoid further rot. Do not be hasty with such crucial parts.

What you should do to collect water from your roof is to run a hose from the opening to a bucket to fill your tank then set the hose over the side to keep your deck dry when your tank is full. We love watching you guys every week you two have a wonderful Hollidays.
