Finding this channel has been the single greatest KZbin adventure I have experienced this year. I love how your family enjoys doing things together, and being on a vessel sailing to different parts of the world is better than any education you could find at any school. God Speed Zatara and Family.

If you like Zatar as I do, look up Sailing With Six! They are an awesome family from Australia or New Zealand sailing around the world as well. the kids are younger. Bella just turned 12. Finn is 11, Archie and Pippin are 8 and 7 I believe. Their upload schedule is a bit more spaced out. Especially since they found out Finn has a medical issue. They are currently in Canada getting him treatment because they are from another Commonwealth Country of course. They are still posting about their trip to make it down the cost of Mexico where they purchased their catamaran after they sold their monohaul. They have actually met the Sailing Zatar crew. I am a Patreon and have asked them to post the footage. I'm not sure if they still will or not. But the family is amazing. The mum and dad are fantastic and the kiddos are about the best you could ask for at those ages. Bella is the typical Big sister but you can see how close they all are. Bella and dad are tight. Finn and Mom are tight. Of course Pippin is the baby of the family and Archie is a fireball of fun with his long shaggy hair. Like the Zatara crew, the Sailing with Six crew are getting an amazing education both on the boat with home school and then in the real world when they get to port plus learning the sailing.

9:30 THANK YOU, for giving us an actual firsthand account of your experience sailing across Somalia 🇸🇴 while mainstream media outlets spew colonial propaganda talking points to this day. This is why I never liked generalizing people regardless if they’re from the West, East, North, or South parts of the world. One God, One Message, and One Humanity is my view of the world. Much love and respect from Somalia 🇸🇴.

I'm sure someone has said so already but that was a bird we call a Hoopoe (pronounced who poo) ... Digs around in the ground with that long beak for insects and worms. Makes a truly beautiful sound that sounds exactly like it's name. Incredible that it got out that far on those little wings!

What an awesome job telling the story of your family adventures … well done. Love that you’re doing this as a family and sharing it with the world … we all need GOOD stories of GOOD FAMILIES! We have a Nordhavn 60 and are currently on west coast of Canada … after taking her to Sea of Cortez after commissioning. Fun fishing hint … my wife saw this on Pinterest (every great idea comes from that site). We keep a small squirt bottle filled with cheap alcohol (vodka works well) on our swim grid. Big fish comes in … we squirt a small amount into the gills … and they instantly become docile for about 2 minutes while we decide whether it’s dinner or back to the deep blue. Take care, keep the cameras rolling and bless you guys as you travel this amazing world.

The oldest brother served since Vietnam in highly classified locations. @ 15:04 Burqas are made of lightweight breathable linen fabric to help protect the womens skin from the hot searing sun. Awesome video as usual. That woodpecker was amazing. It is called a Hoopoe. I’ve only ever seen one in France.👊👏

You folks are my favorite Cruiser channel now. Amazing how much energy and skill Keith displays in fixing things and Mama in charge of the kitchen, keeping up with the inventory and cooking food the family seems to really enjoy. Jack seems to be following in his dad's footsteps in fixing things and maintenance. One thing I am still not sure about is what are Finn and Kate's chores? Maybe you just are not filming when they are working?

Hey Keith, I'm a non-sailor. Don't know that much about boating or sailing, except the very basics I learned when I was a teenager, decades ago. You do these other videos ever now and again on Q&A, and I'm wondering if you would be willing to do a 20-30 minute video on the sails and rigging on Zatara, what each does, how they work, and what it takes to actually sail Zatara.

This sounds weird but I have been binging your show since Friday and almost caught up. As a Father of a 21 year old daughter and a 19 year old son. It’s been fun watching your journey to say the least. Thank you for sharing it. We attended Fellowship Church in Grapevine Texas, close to where you guys lived before. You can stream it if you wanted to keep into touch with a Texas Church. It’s on KZbin as well.

I can’t believe you all didn’t show any of the many natural wonders of Socotra! There are plants and landscapes on that island that are other worldly and unlike anything else on earth.

Filled up our USN Oiler in Djibouti....in 94 ish. We came in, tied up to a pier, fueled, and left. We got dispensation to walk to the land on the fuel pier walkway and fill up a vial of ground to keep. We were threatened by two young men...then they noticed we had side arms, lol.
