Very fun épisode! Keith head down in the engine. And the raft fight. And Luke the drama queen thinking he was going to die!!!! FYI, the doctor was checking for bruising in the cheeks, broken jaw or facial displacement. Be grateful he was thorough. He could also have checked for cracked and broken teeth... All the young adults are adorable.

It is good to see the diversity in the crew. It's the only way to really understand that despite the differences in the cultures, humanity is the same all around the world. I think that's what brings us all together. I hope all the visiting crew have a great experience learning about each other and the sailing life. Good job Zatara, for bringing them all together. I watch four sailing blogs every week. Yours is far and and away my favorite! I am 80 years old and bringing young folks aboard for an experience they would never ever get was a home run! Cannot think of anyone else who would be better qualified and give their parents comfort letting them go! Renee is such a Mom. Keith is a mans man. Best combo for youth to be around. Clearly the first group and now this one is happy, having fun and full of respect for both the adults! Would be awesome for first group and this one to hook up some day! Not a doubt in my mind they would have a ball! A special club for sure! Your focus will he different in the future. Perhaps giving more young folks an opportunity might be a possibility? Not European, but I agree it was a very naïve thing to say as the EU is highly developed with one of the best quality of life standards and healthcare rankings in the whole world, on par with other places that have universal healthcare like the UK, Australia, and Canada. Not sure where he got that weird Idea that a Greek doctor would not be as educated and professional as any of his peers anywhere else in the EU. The US has great care, unfortunately only available to those who can afford it or have good private insurance through their employer. The American system could be great, we have some of the best hospitals in the world. Our country’s system is so beyond broken, inefficient, and corrupt our leaders will always disappoint and put profit before social responsibility and welfare. The fact we don’t have universal healthcare makes America in a certain aspect almost third world, honestly.

Hey European. The prostate cancer 10 year survival rate in the US is 96.8% in the UK its 77% in the UK. We develop and patent new therapies and have access to them years before you do in the rationed system. My wife got a MRI in 3 days when she found a lump in her breast. Her friend in Canada had to wait 96 days for one to be available. But hey it’s free…oh no it’s nit, it’s why your taxes are higher. And VAT is sky high. I love when people say it’s free in the UK yet they pay more in VAT and social tax than I pay for private health care which cost me a whopping $50 a month for access to the top private network.

(1) Quality of care and (2) outcomes are what we should be emphasizing here…And regarding (3) cost, hospitals cannot deny treatment based on inability to pay. That’s illegal under federal law. Also, people who can’t afford a plan or who don’t have an employer sponsored plan receive Medicaid or purchase plans in the marketplace. Plans cannot take preexisting conditions into account any more because of the ACA.

@@anneofgreengables1619 Long waits in the ER. I was in the ER in Australia for 9 hours once. A guy raises his voice and said I’m from Canada, and we have long waits but this is ridiculous. I’ve never had long waits for healthcare in the US. When I tore my ACL, I got surgery in 4 days. My buddy in the UK was on a 6 month waiting list. Are you proud of having rationed healthcare where if you have a life threatening condition like a lump in your breast and possible cancer, you may be waiting months for an MRI. The 5 year prostate survival rate in Europe is 83% it’s 97.8% in the US and that’s after 10 years. Are you proud of your lower cancer survival rates? I’ll take the private system that cost me $50 a month. While you get you “free” healthcare that’s not free because taxes and GST are crazy. The UK has 20% GST. In my State we have no sales tax. There’s your so called free (lie) healthcare. You pay for your healthcare with your lower standard of living and higher taxes.

In case anyone was wondering, usually it is recommended in places that are popular tourist destinations or frequently visited by different people, that a net is worn over the hair to avoid the possible spreading of lice or pests. I remember some years ago in a riding school in the South of France I was given a white net as well to inhibit the possibility of infestations, and the spread of lice eggs in your hair roots, sort of creating a barrier. Awesome video, looks like a lot of fun!
