I like to say this from Serenity To accept the things I cannot change; Have the courage to change the things I can; and have the wisdom to know the difference. This is what the manga and Crystal, Eternal meant by and this is something that Sailor Moon have to choose in the final arc of the manga. The quote of Serenity thing that happen during all five arcs of the manga and Crystal and Eternal accept the things I cannot change: when Usagi and Mamoru arrive at the restore Moon Kingdom after defeating Metalia Luna tells her that she's now the new queen of the resurrected Moon Kingdom, but Usagi denies, saying that she would rather stay with her loved ones back on Earth, where she now belonged and she realize that she cant's bring back the way they were of what happen 1,000 of years. Have the courage to change the things I can: Sailor Moon and her friends realize that it's too late to bring back does how already blessed their loyalty to your evil lord and master like Beryl, Demande, Dr. Tomoe, and Sailor Galaxia but they can at least stop there lord and master from destroying the world. And have the wisdom to know the difference. Mako gives Rei the letter from her Mother, Rei cries and thanks her. Mako then leave In a post-credits scene at D Point inside the Dark Kingdom we see Queen Metalia begin laughing . When I watch Justice League Dark: Apokolips War I it remain me of Sailor Moon Stars of the manga Darkseid remains me of Chaos were he began all out war ever sense Justice League War, Darksaid then unleashed the Paradooms to killed or placed some of the Justice League into Darkseid's slavery which Chaos use Galaxia and her minions to kill the Sailor Moon friend Chaos use the Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask Star Seeds to turn against Sailor Moon is just just like when Darkseid brainwash some of the Justice League to attack them Flash said to the League after Superman said we to destroy Darkseid once and for all to end the war "that means earth could be ground zero in world war, look I know some of you don't believe the visions I have about the Flashpoint but a truly global war means death and destruction on a scale you cannot imagine everyone on the planet is at risk everyone we care about" which Sailor Moon said the Silver Crystal causing war in order to end the war she have to die and when Constantine convinces Flash to create a second Flashpoint, after knowing he created the first while freeing him, to undo Darkseid's work despite knowing the world will not be the same as it was before and this were Sailor Moon have to choose and she choose sacrifice herself inside the Cauldron and then Guardian Cosmos the small but powerful guardian of the Cosmos Crystal, resided within the Galaxy Cauldron saw Usagi in the Cauldron, she was surprised that Usagi and her friends could retain their physical forms within the Cauldron. She asked Usagi if she had come to the Cauldron to throw her life into it and start a new star's history, or if she wanted to live as she was. Given the choice, Usagi said that she wanted to live her life as she was, no matter how difficult it might be, to build a future together. Guardian Cosmos granted their wish, and as they were being pulled away, Usagi asked about Chaos. Guardian Cosmos told them that Guardian Chaos and the Chaos Seed had been dissolved into the Cauldron, but could be born again. It's just that Usagi is too young to see ChibiUsa as a daughter or to act as a mature figure to her (well c'mon! Usagi is only 14, she's just a child), so she's more like a slightly older sister than a mother in the 20th century.

Both are great in their own way, but I think I prefer Crystal to the 90’s farewell. While yes Chibiusa is Usagi’s future daughter, it’s just that, in the future. There is a clear difference between Usagi and Neo Queen Serenity and while NQS can take on the more motherly role in the future, the bond present Usagi and Chibiusa share is more akin to that of sisters.

I say even though there was no crying, 90s felt more genuine because even though they fought Sailor Moon still risked her life to protect Chibiusa numerous tikes despite their differences. Even the anime shows Chibiusa’s side a bit more how she’s really just a kid trying to do what she has to do to save her family. This ending She thanks her “mom” then goes back to the 30th century to hug her mother in the future just connects the story and bond well. While Crystal alone is sad because of the crying, if watching the series the ending just comes off as off and forced because of the narrative following Usagi and Chibiusa’s lack of interest in her. The whole story there really is no genuine bond between them, even as Black Lady she did not give a crap about anyone until PLUTO dies. Crystal/Manga she was just jealous that Mamoru was “spending time with her” but when she got kidnapped “oh I realize my jealousy towards an 8 year old and being mean to her in a time of trauma was selfish! I’m going to tell her I love her now and pretend I care” even Chibiusa didn’t want to sleep at her house because Mamoru was a better caretaker, the ending of her saying she cared about Usagi most just felt forced. The story showed she loved Pluto and Mamoru the most, hell even Minako had more respect towards her, the narrative of making it like Chibiusa felt she was the burden and Usagi STILL saying Chibiusa was inconsiderate just makes it feel forced and just glosses over how ridiculous Usagi’s behavior is and not learning her lesson she was supposed to learn in captivity

Was that worth the 3 likes? Did you get it all out of your system? The 90s version was fine, but the argument can be made too that Chibiusa made Usagi’s life a living hell and she barely grows out of that. Crystal version is progressive- Usagi and Chibiusa begin to bond when she gets rescued after having a better understanding of Chibiusa- which is emulated further when Chibiusa is kidnapped. But the whole point of Crystal’s ending is that they’re only starting to enjoy each other’s company, and it had to end too soon- which segues us into the Dream Arc, where the bond between Usagi and Chibiusa are significantly stronger, and the love is super genuine, enough that they share the spotlight (unlike SuperS).

I’ve read the manga no sorry she’s 14 but it’s still weird how she’s jealous of her being around her boyfriend to the point she acknowledges she’s a kid but the issue is she’s a woman. Then the narrative tries to show Usagi should be sympathized with! How progressive! You can say you never watched the 90s anime, manga isn’t what got the series popular. If anything Crystal showed the world how lame and gross the manga is while people like you just blindly follow anything Naoko writes. Dream what? Oh yeah nobody cared about those boring Eternal films that made people realize how lame the Dream arc actually was. It was more about Chibiusa coming to terms her crush is her dad (90s she just knew it annoyed Usagi), her love for Helios while she gets annoyed people think Usagi is prettier/more relied on. Oh yeah and everyone gets power ups I guess, who cares they will all die in Cosmos. Their “love” is forced and bland from a writer who just self inserted herself into the story. How progressive and loving. Did you get your pedophilia and incest support out of your system? Good. Hope the 2 likes were worth that.

If I had the choice to choose both, I would. But, I'm gonna be totally 100% honest here and say that the 90's version touched me more in a emotional way compared to Crystal's version. I loved the ending more on that one because it made me cry a little for a moment when they hugged and said their goodbyes to each other when they embraced one another like Mother & Daughter. Also, the fact that Chibiusa call Usagi "Mommy" that was beautiful and very touching to the heart. The 90's version will always be the best for me. I grew up in the 90's so I grew up watching that version of Sailor Moon in my time as a kid in 3rd grade. Now for Crystal, there was definitely more emotion to it, but to me, it didn't quite catch the same superior feeling I felt over the 90's anime version. To this one it was very different, but, still had a lot of emotion to it and bunch of tears from both Usagi & Chibiusa, but I like it, it's okay. It still shows me that close bound of mother and daughter moment between the two of them and that's all that matters to me for seeing in this version.
