SilenceGlaiveMaster It may have been the case with Sailor Moons defeat here. She cannot overpower Galaxia in the time frame that it would take Galaxia to respond to a new threat while she is possessed by Chaos, she needs more time to build her power's to be able to. Plus Galaxia was after Star Seeds, Sailor Moon gave her a strong desire to attack quickly to get what she wanted. I'm assuming Galaxia's power's increase when she summons her sword or perhaps it's the source of her power's, so comparing this situation with the Starlights Princess being able to hold a barrier against Galaxia without it for a time would be different. But the sudden defeat meant that Chaos believed that her Star seed was no threat to her, so it toyed with Sailor Moon the next time she attacked with it when it had evolved to give a more direct link to her life force. Chaos lapse in judgement led to it's defeat.

Actually, galaxia created her sword with her power, it's different, the source of her power is her starseed. And remember: sailor moon (defeated) + galaxia star seed could kill chaos galaxia with all the star seed of the galaxy. So, good galaxia should be stronger than evil galaxia! Dario I think you may have misunderstood. Her Star Seed created the sword on it's own for Sailor Moon to use as the source of Galaxia's power and the light of hope. It's something her star seeds power would have granted to Galaxia regardless. Chaos also boosted her power's too, like it did with Uranus and Neptune.

Always hated how the original anime made a mix up between everlasting star seds and sailor crystals just to keep that damn monster of the day /victim of the day dynamic going on, and it makes absolutly no sense eventually... her star seed is the silver crystal even here.

***** (Talking all manga, as they appear only there) A Star Seed is a crystal contained in all life, that embodies their own life itself, it contains their very essence, it's their own star. In the manga it's mentioned that weaker planets live out of one star seed alone, but in stronger places, and more balanced ones like our solar system, each being has their own star seed, losing this star seed would lead to death. A Sailor Crystal is a Sailor Guardian's special kind of star seed, normal star seeds have a determined life span, their light is not everlasting, and when that creature dies, their star seed dies with them, although there are powerful Star Seeds ho stand above the average. However a Sailor Crystal is everlasting, it contains their power, their conscious, their life, they prevail. A Sailor Guardian can be reborn again as long as their Sailor Crystal exists. Mamoru doesn't have a Sailor Crystal obviously, but his Crystal is the Golden Crystal, which contains all these features. This is the reason why Galaxia is after the Sailor Crystals, because she wants to harvest and obtain all that power, merging all Sailor Crystals into one, making the artificial Sapphire Crystal, as she is jealous that Sailor Moon is the strongest Sailor Guardian of all, and that her crystal, the Silver Crystal is the most powerful. In the original anime this was changed in order to mantain the monster / victim of the day dynamic, there are no Sailor Crystals, just star seeds, the guardians of the planets and Sailor Guardians posses a "true star seed" which has an everlasting power that doesn't fade away or die. The original anime has a very strong and dumb plothole, as near the end they show that Galaxia always knew that these true star seeds belonged to the guardians of the planets, yet the entire season they show how she and the Animamates waste thir time looking for them on just regular people.

Yeah, although I love this final battle, the entire season was so dumb about the plot. It is revealed that Galaxia killed Mamoru at the very beggining of the season, so why didn't she take of the Senshi inmediatly? It just followed the logic used in Sailor Moon S and SuperS, just attacking random people till the final boss wanted to show.

The point of this battle was Galaxia who thought she won when she underestimated the power of a five year old kid. The Silver Crystal was a tremendous threat to her, but her own blind arrogance is why she lost this battle before it even started. This is exactly what happens when you don't take your opponents seriously and she paid the price for it. The biggest threat in that room wasn't Sailor Moon. It was Chibi Chibi. Sailor Moon took all the attention away from Chibi Chibi and had it focused on her. Going after Sailor Moon's star seed was the worst mistake Galaxia ever made. That five year old child blocked Galaxia's powerful attack which is used to extract star seeds so easily that you could see the annoyed look on her face when they were teleported away from the room. The problem is she let her powertrip go to her head and ended up paying the ultimate price in the end. But it was Chaos who made this mistake of course since he was in control of Galaxia. Chaos despises Sailor Moon so much that his own hatred turned a blind on the true threat that was in the room. This very same five year old girl also neutralized Galaxia's finishing attack when she tried to finish off the Starlights. She knew right then and there she made a fatal mistake. Now that the Light of Hope had awaken there wasn't a single thing she could do it about it, because her power paled in comparison to Chibi Chibi's power. You could also tell she didn't understand what was so powerful. She thought it was Sailor Moon, but she guessed wrong. There was really NOTHING impressive about Galaxia in this scene. I'm not at all impressed with her constant grandstanding, because her character is cliché. The manga version of her was far better than the anime version. In the anime she was just a deranged lunatic who obsessed over power. Not an uncommon theme when it comes to villains. She made the fatal mistake all supervillains make when they don't take their competition seriously. This same child in the manga owned Galaxia during her only trip to Earth to destroy it and try to force Sailor Moon to come to her. Also, it was only in the manga that she flicked Sailor Moon. She never once flicked her in the anime. Yes, Sailor Moon has one of the most powerful crystals, but the problem is that sometimes she let's her emotions control her. Despair is one of Sailor Moon's greatest enemies in the series. Whenever she becomes absorbed by despair, she cannot release the full potential of her crystal. It's like her mother told her, the power of her crystal is determined by her heart. As you saw when she was full of emptiness after finding out Mamoru was killed by Galaxia, Chibi Chibi was forced to remove Usagi from the room until she came to grips of the situation. She cannot be wallowing in despair or guilt, because Chaos wins if she cannot pull herself together. We've seen it time and time again that despair become Sailor Moon's greatest adversary. It seems that part of her never changed even after when she first defeated Super Beryl. She was almost defeated by Super Beryl, because Usagi falls into despair when she's forced to fight an enemy alone; she thinks she's alone and falls into the pit of despair which affects the performance of the Silver Crystal. Even Super Beryl knew this. That's why she enjoyed killing every one of the Guardians who Usagi loved until it was only herself, Sailor Moon and Mamoru left. She knew Sailor Moon was weak when she was forced to face the fact she was alone and even to make it worse to fight the person she loved. This is also why Rei slapped her after Mamoru was kidnapped by the enemy the first time. Her selfishness was a major problem for the other Sailor Guardians and they can't perform their job properly unless Usagi is on the same page as them. This is also why Chaos targeted Mamoru first. He knew that Mamoru was the greatest source of strength to Sailor Moon. Usagi hid how she truly felt from her friends when she couldn't contact Mamoru. She didn't want them to worry about her. She didn't know that Mamoru had been killed until Galaxia showed her collection after killing the four inner Guardians. Usagi is no different than Princess Serenity in the past. She became very selfish when things didn't go her way. In fact, Usagi's anime character acts a lot like Princess Serenity from the manga. After that he gradually took away every person she loved until only the Starlights remained. In the manga it was just her daughter Chibiusa along with the four Amazon Quartet Sailor Guardians. Usagi always had a hard time dealing with loneliness, because she didn't ever have to deal with it. When she was forced into loneliness as she convinced herself of that she fell into a deep state of despair. This is also why Luna reminded Usagi that she has to take her role seriously or all she'll do is drag down everyone else. It wasn't until this final battle that Usagi finally overcame her despair with the help of the Starlights reminding her that she is not alone. But it took the brink of death to realize that she wasn't alone and that no one was truly lost and still remained in her heart. When she realized this that is why she was able to finally release the true power of the Silver Crystal and was able to defeat Chaos dispelling him from Galaxia's body. People need to remember that Usagi didn't know what it was like to be alone like the other four guardians. The other four guardians never had any friends until they met Usagi. He fear of despair like I said was her greatest enemy. A lot of her problems in the past were caused, because she continue wallow in guilt and despair which is why Uranus and Neptune tested her toward the end of S. They had to make sure that she had no doubts about her decision to save the Guardian of Destruction. In the end, despair is Usagi's worst enemy. She never had to live in solitude so she always had someone to support her. Sailor Moon doesn't understand where she stands in the Milky Way? What is that supposed to mean? Sailor Moon holds the most powerful crystal in the entire Universe. Yes, in the anime they didn't bastardize like in the manga, but still the Silver Crystal was very powerful in its own right.

What does it mean when SM doesn’t know where she stands? It means she is a spoilt princess with power. I always felt she always give that kind of vibe. SM talks big asking Galaxia why she decided everything (when Galaxia fought Chaos herself) without asking help from SM, resulting getting corrupted by Chaos. I was like, hello? While good Galaxia was busy trying to save the galaxy, that lil b- was so absorbed with her love life that she ended up killing herself because her Endymion died and she’s asking why not ask for her help?😂 The nerve.

ChibiChibi and Sailor Moon are the same person in theory. Also if you think about the entire story of Usagi, 14 year old girl thrust into a position of responsibility greater than anyone can imagine. She had friends before the other Senshi and slowly because of constant attacks, she could only really be friends with the senshi who had problems of their own. If you think about the amount of time in which all the arcs take place, Usagi never got a real break to be a normal person. I wouldn't fault her for leaning on Mamoru or the other senshi. She literally posses one of the strongest weapons in the universe and had no training or guidance to use it except honestly her future self that still didn't quite figure it out. Usagi pretty much lives a life of PTSD. In the anime since it was along side the manga at the time, it's definitely worst. You see more mental breaks especially since she deals with Mamoru's inability to communicate. How many times did that fool have a bad dream and break up with her! The last arc, especially in the manga you see Usagi trying to be this mature, not clingy person. It opens with Mamoru dying right in front of her but she believes he got on that plane then processed to be so busy he couldn't contact her. She avoids talking about it to her friends who only give her the "oh you're so lucky to have a boyfriend" cause they are still children. And the enemy they fight is the result of her existence, thus Chaos can't actually be eradicated and will be reborn eventually. That's actually a pretty common trope. The story is pretty interesting, if you think about the time period in Japan, where women stood and where magical girls were at the time, Sailor Moon is fascinating.

It’s true, Sailor Moon’s biggest adversary is falling into despair. Who wouldn’t fall into despair after witnessing your closest friends and boyfriend/future husband be killed right before your eyes (manga especially) However, it’s because of that love for her friends that she’s able to go on. Although they are gone physically, It’s because of that love she becomes very determined, and that allows her to save everyone.

Sailor Moon is somewhat of a mystery in some regards. The fact she was born without her star seed the Silver Crystal makes her special compared to the other Sailor Guardians. Taking her star seed won't simply kill her, because she can live without it. It's possible that her power comes from the Moon itself and the Silver Crystal is just a conduit toward that power. Which would explain the source of her power as Sailor Moon before she acquired her heirloom the Silver Crystal. It is possible the reason she can live without it is, because she's a descendant of the Moon. All the other Sailors were originally Sailor Guardians. Usagi, on the other hand, was a princess in her past life before she became a Sailor Guardian. There's still a lot of speculation where her power came from before the Silver Crystal was introduced. We still don't know a lot about the race of people who were a part of the Moon Kingdom's royal line. You have to remember she spent fourteen years without it. I don't think it was ever explained where Sailor Moon's power came from before the Silver Crystal existed, but one can think that the crystal existed before it appeared in their realm before the event of Mamoru got severely hurt protecting Sailor Moon from Zoisite.

In Stars arc Chaos how once Queen Metalia anticipated the Inner, Outer Sailor Guardians and Mamoru by having Galaxia and her minions by killing them by surprise let down their guard and take their Star Seeds and then Chaos revive them by turning them evil and attack Eternal Sailor Moon, Eternal Chibi Moon and Sailor Quartet later Sailor Moon have make a choose destroy the Cauldron or not destroy the Cauldron, if she destroy the Cauldron then Chaos will cease to exist this also cause the stars seed to cease to exist which change everything the world might end up be completely different, if does not destroy the Cauldron then everything will be restore to way it was but Chaos always comes back start a war all over again history might repeat it self but she chooses neither she choose her own path and sacrifices herself once again but then Guardian Cosmos the small but powerful guardian of the Cosmos Crystal, resided within the Galaxy Cauldron saw Usagi in the Cauldron, she was surprised that Usagi and her friends could retain their physical forms within the Cauldron. She asked Usagi if she had come to the Cauldron to throw her life into it and start a new star's history, or if she wanted to live as she was. Given the choice, Usagi said that she wanted to live her life as she was, no matter how difficult it might be, to build a future together. Guardian Cosmos granted their wish, and as they were being pulled away, Usagi asked about Chaos. Guardian Cosmos told them that Guardian Chaos and the Chaos Seed had been dissolved into the Cauldron, but could be born again but Sailor and friends will be ready for it, and that act that could save everything even if alters course of history the risk seen worth it Sailor Moon now has the wisdom to know the difference to accepting what she can't change and changing what she can and that's is the most important meaning quote of the Serenity prayer of the manga, crystal, eternal and Cosmos of Sailor Moon.

Jahsai Ashley I think they messed this part up, the Starlight's took her attacks so many times & over powered her while Sailor Moon summons her Silver Crystal that even Galaxia recognised as the most powerful light; she flick's it so easily. Unless she was holding back all the time, the Silver Crystal should have been significantly more powerful than the Starlight's combined attacks. Or was it simply a matter of Sailor Moon not having enough time to be able to gather enough power to do anything?

As Moon sobs over her twin sisters fading body, Galaxia finds herself moved by what Dark Moon had done. She is also confused. The Starlights explain that Dark Moon and Moon are twin sisters. Dark Moon loves Moon and chose to die so her sister could live. Dark Moon gave the greatest gift she could even though it would end her life. Galaxia finds herself crying. Moon rises. They talk. She allows Galaxia to feel the warm light of the silver crystal. Galaxia reaches out and touches it. The darkness is washed away from her, converting her to her normal form. Free at last, Galaxia destroys the cauldron, returning Chaos back to where it belongs. This frees all the star seeds, which are guided back to where they belong by Galaxia. Everyone returns, even Dark Moon, who smiles. She knew Moon would win.

That would be very epic to see 1vs1 Galaxia vs Saturn. But instead of this they showed us "level up" of Sailor Moon like in all season's before... The plot was same from season to season: strong boss who can beat every sailor warrior, tons of tears by Sailor Moon and then she got suddenly some extra power and beat the final boss... every damn season the same. And you know what is funny? Despite this power increase she couldn't handle a single demon in the next season without help of Toxedo or other Senshi. Sailor Moon itself is the most and the only disappointing part of this anime to be honest =((

In the manga everyone has a star seed but only sailor guardians have sailor crystals. We know Mamoru's golden crystal is just a really powerful star seed because he's not a sailor guardian. In the case of the Animamates they had star seeds but their sailor crystals were fake. In the anime they introduce the concept of star seeds vs "true star seeds" which is confusing.

Yes it is, but it's different from other Star Seed's because it generates incredible power on it's own; rather than just enhancing the person it's in. But it has the capacity to be the strongest because of Mamoru's star seed since it's an amplification type - it's constantly enhancing the Silver Crystal. Luckily it was enhanced enough to be able to contend with the most powerful Sailor Soldier.
