I first watched Sailor Moon when it was began to go popular when the show was successful on Toonami on Cartoon Network from the lat 1990s up to early 2000s. I also watched the program on local syndicated TV stations Fox and WB. Channels 29 & 35 cable 11 and 7 for my city.

Best of both worlds. That guitar riff solo goes so freaking well with the vocals that were only in Moonlight Densetsu.

Never seen a single episode of this show. But I’ve seen the opening in both English and Japanese and my god, that guitar solo in the English dub is so good. Mixing it here was a great idea, thank you for doing this!

yeah if there's one thing Canadian dubs of the 90s really improved on, it was all the heavy guitar and synth work, while anime was still kinda stuck in the orchestra mindset.

Due to the compression of the original Andrew Dowler file, I unfortunately couldn't rip the original sfx which was why I decided to recreate the DiC sfx.

Toei never seemed to understand that they were living in the 90s because everything they made back then was years behind. While everyone hates on the DiC dub, the one thing it did do was bring the show up to normal 90s production standards.

Sorry, but the original DiC version is better. It just is. The soundtrack, everything. Those first 65 episodes of the DiC dub is lightning in a bottle. I don't know how, I don't know why, but for once in history, the ENGLISH version of an anime is better than the Japanese original.
