Back in the day, when we didn't really know if the showrunners were gonna pull a fast one on us and introduce another character as the moon princess, it was nice to have our suspicions rewarded with such an epic moment. It was one of my favorite anime cliff hangers. One that most shonen shows have forgotten to really execute with excellent music and dub that mixed decently with it.

This show was my biggest kept secret as a teen boy. Every time that intro came on I asked myself "wait, why am I watching this again, but it was actual emotional shit like this that made me remember, "oh yeah, that's why." My first anime, I'd never seen any 'cartoon' that had an ongoing story, where things change, characters come and go, a character might actually die, the music, the songs, I loved it, but I could never tell anyone for fear of idiotic teenage judgement. If I had it all to do over again I'd tell all my friends and try to get them into it, probably would've learned sooner who the real friends were.

Ikr. They’ed still be the only English dubs if it weren’t for the heavy editing and censorship that they did back then to the series, and addition of not licensing the final season for a western release. So the whole thing had to be redone again.

I like the ideas behind a lot of this. For one, I find it extremely romantic that it was her sorrow that brought the rainbow crystals together, like they were called to her, faithfully. Everyone would probably agree the dub did many, many, MANY things wrong, but this is one of the things they got absolutely right. This song fits the scene so perfectly. I still tear up when I hear it ^_^ No disrespect, but I much prefer it over the Japanese song. I don't care what anyone says, the dub actually has some very good music (I can't praise them highly in all other respects, but I'll give them some love for songs like this).

Especially thrilling is when the Rainbow 🌈 Crystals, are reformed in to The Silver Emperyan Crystal, and YES!!!, THAT IS REALLY HOW IT WAS ORIGINALLY IN 1995 BECAUSE I HAVE THE MOON WAND WITH THE CORRECT SPELLING FROM THE BANDAI TOY COMPANY!!!!! And when the Silver Crystal appears, it is Shimmering on the Brilliant Pink background, And I Always get a chill and shivers along my back, as the music of the electric guitar builds to a crescendo, and Sailor Moon 🌙 turns around. And fades away as she is finally revealed as The Lost Moon Princess. And Terri speaks her "...weird." lines just like a Valley Girl of 1995. Totally AWESOME!!!!! Hi in September, 2021, A.D.
