EDIT: So, this video was blocked by VIZ from viewing in North America a few years ago. It wasn’t in till this past winter(2018) that I finally filed a counter claim(they were trying to say I uploaded a full episode which obviously isn’t the case AND I uploaded this a year before they rescued the license) & got it viewable again. It currently has over 50k views. No idea what’s been bringing so many of you here but just wanted to say thanks.

What Sailor Moon S did to Sailor Moon is what The Empire Strikes Back did to Star Wars. It tells a new story with the characters, introducing the Outer Sailor Guardians, plays with new tones and new themes, putting the characters in new trials, shows growth with the characters, raises the stakes, and feels necessary. This is still my favorite Sailor Moon season.

People, Sailor Mars has a special place in this intro!!!! I didn't see this until now... She appears first in the presentation, before Mercury, she appears first in the rising flight, after Naptune and Uranus who were upper on the Greek statues scene but before Mercury again. Then, in the spiral attacking scene, she is first again. It's interesting because Mercury is, traditionally, the second Sailor who appeared and the first chosen out of the big four with Mars character being always after Mercury but developing over the seasons and taking the place of Mercury in the narrative...just my opinion....but...what do you think?

Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Cosmos part 1 are my favorite OP. In 1:21, Both of them contain most characters. But still, in S OP , I think there should have Hotaru as Sailor Saturn; and in Cosmos OP, there should have Tuxedo Mask too.

Haven’t seen Sailor Moon in a while. Like, a while while. And suddenly I thought of this specific opening and a thought came to mind……. Can the scouts even fly without wings? ‘Cause I remember specifically in the 2nd movie with Peraru Usagi and Chibiusa were about to fall to their deaths until he showed and saved their asses. This particular one came with a batch of torrents when I downloaded the show(this was in 2012 and the show was impossible to legally get in America at the time). But with that said most shows have credit less openings as extras on their DVD/Blu-ray releases
