Sailor's whipping

In this tutorial I demonstrate another useful and easy to do whipping, the Sailor's whipping.
Just as the Common whipping, this technique is used to secure ends of the rope from fraying and unravelling.
It is also a handy technique for joining two items together.
You can also find this whipping in the ABoK under number 2443.

As an added Twist, pun intended, watch archery string serving videos. It's the same knot but avoids the twisting of the whipping rope experienced in this "sailor's" whipping by "backserving". Better to just watch the videos than my trying to explain it but IS the same knot with a bonus in technique

The if used with leather for jewelry, cut cords and spread out cords to hide cut parts.
