Love the fancy work videos! Thank you. Where do you source your string/thread for it?
@mikkosnellman Жыл бұрын
Yarns for the cords come to me from a vendor in Finland.

If you're in the US, I finally found a source knoticalusa. Certainly difficult to find good hard and soft laid line without having to make it by hand. Maybe that works?

I loved this! Is that varnish you put on at the end?

Yes, oil based spar varnish.

@@mikkosnellman Thank you! What is the best cord to use for this?
@mikkosnellman5 ай бұрын
@@StellarSailor I use only hard laid natural fiber cords with spar varnish. Flax in this case but hemp or even cotton will do fine. Plastics I have no experience of.

I love this knot! Thank you. I discovered it while creating easy yet practical grips for hiking sticks for young Boy Scouts. I have one question through, why did you start with two separate cords instead of doubling and tying a simple overhand knot? It works the same but is stronger, in my experience, at least. I love your work and admire your skills.

Just because I didn´t have a cord long enough. ;)

Beautiful work but hard laid cord and then varnish is not a good surface for a tiller.. Bare, oiled wood is best.
