The bit about toggling between primary & secondary SIMS was particularly helpful. I’d like a bit more detail, screenshots etc explaining what a phone’s home screen then looks like & how you know how much data you’re using when abroad.

You are an absolute treasure, I only learned about eSims few weeks ago as I'm planning a trip to Asia, it's so helpful to have a walk trough I can reference when I need to buy my first eSim, thank you so much!

Thanks and very useful. I joined Saily and ordered 2 plans - Germany and UK - and all went well. I'll wait to activate my UK plan a few days before leaving. As I'll be going to the UK directly from Germany I'll remove my secondary eSim there and add the UK plan. I found an easy description of removing a secondary plan on the Airalo site! This might be a useful addition to your video.

OMG, thank you! I couldn't access mine because it was set to primary. After switching to Secondary it worked perfectly.

Thanks for the video explaining this. Just a question, if I turn off my primary when I get to my destination does that mean that I won’t get iMessages from contacts? iMessage goes through data unlike text right? Thanks

Smashed the like. Appreciated the toggling between primary and secondary based on which country I'm in. Cheers 🙏

Very informative, however I do have a question that I hope someone can help me with. If I'm planning to visit several asian countries on my month's vacation, do I need to make a new application for every country, or can I just make one application at the start that will cover all my planned asian countries to visit ? Many thanks

So if I buy a 30 day plan via esim, what is Day 1 in your example? When you first activate it and move it to secondary? or when you toggle it on when you get to Germany? (Looking at Saily esim). thanks!

i have a question, whiles still UK, if you turn on your secondary cellular, and still be able to use the data(germany) from saily whiles still in the UK ??

Nice tutorial. Unfortunately, I could not replicate the steps you took. At the "Default Line" screen, my iPhone 14 did not offer a "Secondary" option. All I got was "Primary" and "Cellular Data." I feel like I don't want to choose either of these. My understanding was that I would be able to activate this before I left but then switch the cellular setting back to use my normal carrier until I arrive in my out-of-country destination. It's not clear what the distinction between "Primary" and "Cellular Data" is in my settings. Wtf.

Why is the default line and iMessage/Facetime set to Secondary? Should it not be Primary?

Other instructors have said that you need to switch to e-sim before you leave your country, as you will need the Internet to switch it at the destination. I am not clear about that. Could you please clarify what needs to be done about that? Also, will the 30 days start counting from the date of installation or when I turn it on at my destination?
@blakec332317 күн бұрын
Pretty sure I read that it’s from when you reach your destination country.

Does anyone know if you need to also turn the regular cellular Data roaming to off in your IPhone settings?. Or do you leave the regular roaming to on?

It's only used for data, you use your home sim card for that stuff

Thanks and excellent. I’ve activated Saily before leaving Canada for Germany and my Saily secondary SIM is called “Personal” (in quotes) otherwise identical.

@Garca-r6r4 ай бұрын
No. It just gives you internet to use in your travel. You local sim will be used for messages and phone calls, Saily will only give you data to make them.
@sandolinic2 ай бұрын
@@Garca-r6r based on what you said, I shouldn’t turn my primary sim off as I want to be able to get sms and important calls on my primary sim while using the eSIM for mobile data. Am I right?
