This was "Eh" for me. Nice sounds but i didn't feel anything. I have a recording in my car of Frank Tenaglia singing this and was CRYING in the car listening to it today. He conveys that much emotion. Even Pavarotti's version doesn't make me cry, but Frank's does. It's a shame this recording of Frank's is not on KZbin.

BRAVO !!!, The voice is really very beautiful, and his phrasing impecable, actually it sounded that he worked this aria with Greatest of coaches, the later Mtro. Ubaldo Gardini. The diction is also very good, even if a couple words missed endings last consonant; but WHO CARE, this gentleman sings very, very well.

Very good tenor! Dynamics are lacking though in this aria.......the first rise to the A has more of a piano character..... scene on stage is at night and the aria is sung to a sleeping boy....who goes all out to the ff in that situation? Ferrucio Tagliavini is a good example of how to apply dynamics appropriately in this aria....
