Hi Becky. Waitrose does the same. Plonk the baskets of food on the front step, at which point I'm on my hands and knees grovelling about on the floor to pull the items out the basket and into my own bags. I dont want the driver to come all the way into my kitchen and stand around as i unload. But only one driver has actually ever offered to do so anyway. I prefer Ocado, whilst they bring it in bags they take the bags back and recycle. No grovelling about on the floor 😂

Hi Becky, Don't ever change, you make me laugh. There is hubby and I we always spend, over £100pds. I can remember when broccoli was about 30p for that, size now it's 85p it's terrible. I thought that was a very sensible shop, you have up to four meals. Imagine if you went out for meals. Love watching you getting shops from different supermarkets. Thanks Becky Patricia ❤

I've shopped online at Sainsbury's since they started doing home deliveries, the drivers are usually super friendly and helpful, also if you get a substitution and it's more expensive, you'll get a money off voucher added to your online account to use on another shop. Also keep fresh mushrooms in the fridge and they'll last at least two weeks (I buy Sainsbury's chestnut mushrooms) and Sainsbury's do do a Lurpak dupe, it's called Buttersoft, the packaging is almost identical :D

The town we live in doesn’t have a grocery store with delivery service but you can order online and then just pick it up and pay at the store. That saves a lot of time as well. The fee is very decent as well. Although some items I like to pick myself. I’m very picky when it comes to meats and fresh produce.

Morrison's do bagged deliveries too. It's actually Ocado drivers who do the deliveries for Morrison's. Look on hot uk deals, they usually have £10 or £15 vouchers for Morrison's on a regular basis.

I have my bags for life ready near the door, and when the driver arrives I’m all ready, often the driver will ask if you want any help packing! I like Sainsbury’s but you get much more for your money at Asda! I looked at Ocado but they don’t deliver to my area!

Not giving bags I do understand but I set up deliveries to my elderly relatives who are not able to unload and do not want someone coming into their house as they live alone. It’s quite ableist in general because I am also not able to unload at the door which is why I shop exclusively at Ocado or just eat/uber delivery from grocery stores. Both of which cost a small fortune! I don’t understand why they can’t also have an incentive like Ocado to return bags. Maybe it’s too environmentally unfriendly I don’t know, I do understand

Don’t think the driver knows you are a first timer. Ocado seem to be the only one that delivers with bags now. Certainly Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Asda don’t use bags. I bring a couple of large shopping bags to the door and quickly bung the goods in that so the driver can get away quickly. But Tesco Whoosh deliveries get out in brown bags so the Uber driver can carry easily and quickly
