I buy baking potatoes, clean and prick with a fork, microwave for 10 minutes then fish in the microwave exactly like a jacket spud. Then scoop out the inside and mash with real butter. Lovely fluffy mashed potatoes 😊 that’s the only way it works for me, I never seem to get boiled spuds right 🤷🏻‍♀️

I let my potatoes steam off before mashing. I find when they are super hot and fresh then they get gloopy when I mash them

Soak your potatoes in really cold Water for 20 mins before you put them on to cook then add fresh hot kettle water. I buy the deluxe spuds from lidl. They make amazing mash. Xx 😊

Good haul Claire like already soak potatoes first. Get rid of starch put milk in warm and butter I find king Edwards or good all rounder potatoes thank you for sharing 😊❤

I already have meat and veg at home, didn't need any this week so there was more capacity to buy other things we didn't have in stock 🙂
