We actually still have a cut-glass bowl exactly like the one the wife puts on the table with the avocado in it at 0:50, it's bloody ancient and belonged to my great gran

Looked it up but its completely different. I used another thing which told me it was some random Jazz piece which was wrong too. According to an advert site, it's called Timeline, by Charlie di Placido Jenkins

"Free range" eggs would be better than just "cage free".
@stephaniespragg55862 жыл бұрын
‘Cage free’ also covers barn eggs and organic eggs which Sainsbury’s sell in addition to free range eggs

...and "Asda, The Co-operative Group, First Quench, Morrisons, One Stop Stores, Safeway, Shell, Somerfield and TM Retail" What's your beef with Sainsbury's, dude?

Great ad. Whatever your view of Sainsbury's, or any big company, this is still a great ad celebrating 140 years of British life. Also, to who said they were copying hovis here... Fraud not. This is factual information about Sainsbury's. Hovis got nothing to do with it, although you can buy it in Sainsbury's, if course...

1982FMJ your talking bolocks mate. Trading standards wouldn't allow it. In fact companies like sainsburys and waitrows buy in better quality food then the likes of asda and tesco. The keep it at a better quality through lower temperatures and shorter date codes so u get best quality. As the saying goes you get what u pay for.

Sainsbury's also had a much more ethical approach to business until they were forced to compete with the cut throat policies that Asda and Tesco brought in to force smaller companies out of business and screw suppliers over. Before that, Sainsbury's did business on their quality of product. They sold good food. Tescos and Asda did it on loss leaders and enticing folks in with lower prices to put local book shops, music stores, bakers, fish mongers and the bakers out of business. Only to Jack up prices again once they did. People have short memories, but asda and Tesco once sold bread in the 90s for 2p and 3p a loaf. They don't today. Syrer, you may save a few quid shopping there compared to Sainsbury's or Waitrose, but that's thanks to low hour contracts and over worked and under paid staff. Practices others have since been forced to follow to remain competitive.

16th Sept 2010 'Sainsbury's taken to court over excess packaging... ' Not very traditional. Can't imagine the Sainsburys family wasted such excess 140 years ago!!

Why wouldn't they hire women back then if they could? You could pay them less! Probably a fair amount of long term male workers lost their jobs. Yet they portray themselves as though they were foreward thinking and modern!

Stand by the motorway bridge and all you will see is TESCOS lorrys FACT...followed by the cascow money vans shipping all you local money out the area where the money is needed for the local trades men. ... At screwing suppliers, forcing smaller shops out of business by selling items At a loss, until they do, and giving low hour contracts. Oh and then forcing more ethical companies to follow suit to remain viable. Still, at least you pay 10p less for a tin of beans
