Ive had the opportunity to meet him a few times when he played with the Galaxy. First occasion I happened to be at the same gas station as he was. Approached him just to say Go Galaxy. The second time I met him was a month later. I happened to be at the same restaurant that him and his wife were eating at. I didn't approach him. Instead, he approached me and told me that he recognized me from the gas station. Shook my hand and thanked me for being a fan. Top notch!

For some reason, watching this video makes me shed more than a few tears. Tears of happiness. I was smiling throughout the whole video but crying at the same time. What a precious video this is. My kids go to this school, Chase Lane - it's quite surreal seeing this on the internet when I see it every day! And I see Miss Houston (the head teacher) was a little star-struck too!!! David Beckham was in my school for one year (1988/1989) and I remember playing footy with him at lunchtimes nearly every day. He's very down-to-earth and hasn't changed at all. Nice for him to remember his roots, after all the fame he's had.
