Jesus told us the only way to the Father is through Him. We need to pray for the saving knowledge of Jesus to the Father in HIs Son’s name, not pray to Mary, saints and angels. Mary the mother of Jesus herself would not want you to pray to her. Go to the source. Go to the Father. This is in addition to all of our prayers especially the holy Mass the greatest prayer of all. We join our prayers to Jesus who offers himself to the father. There are special graces that Saints can beg for us to have. St Monica prayed for 16 years that her wayward son would repent his wayward life. He converted and became an extremely important church father. It isn't his power we are asking when we ask him to pray for us. We are asking if he can beg God on our behalf if we too can have a little of the type of grace it took that ultimately saved him. They can intercede on our behalf in addition to being a good example to us in better living our Christian lives

And she is one that I pray to when I am praying for my daughter. grandchildren and brother. My mother prayed like St. Monica all her life since the age of 9 attended daily mass. Just recently she passed away because of the last stage of dementia. On her death bed for 2 days non stop she mumbled the Hail Mary. She also put her two hands on my daughters head, who is now an atheist, so I know she was blessing her. Just before she died she raised her arms in the air and said: Hallelujah!

A warm and touching life of saint Agustine and his journey in life is a blessing... Because God gave him a knowledge and wisdom to speak about the truth and spread it in his community...
