Saint Bernard || Dream SMP - That's Like 100 Miles Animation

Where do I even begin...
About a year ago I went on a camping trip with my family & friends. During our trip, my brother decided that he wanted to read one of his favorite fics to us out loud. The fic was "that's, like, a hundred miles" by No_one_you_know on Ao3. So we all sat around the campfire and listened to him read it from his phone. This is genuinely one of my favorite memories from 2021.
Now, keep in mind; I have not watched Dream SMP. At the time, I didn't even know that much about the characters. I think that says something about how incredibly well-written the story is.
We didn't finish the fic during that trip, but my brother continued to read it to us throughout the summer, along with the sequel, "he's my brother, I just raise him". (the animation actually mostly focuses on the sequel)
To say this story became a big part of my life at the time would be more than accurate. Seriously. I know it's just some fan story inspired by a silly Minecraft series (that I haven't even watched), but it means a lot to me.
So uh, if the author sees this, thank you. You've done something amazing.

OH MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE! actually had read the first fic in this series! I only got up until about 1:13 in this one though before I had to back out cuz it was stressing me out lol. The fic series and this pmv is absolutely incredible work though omg :D Out loud gasped at 1:24 and again at 1:35 as I pieced together what must have happened after I stopped reading omg incredible stuff :]

I JUST FINISHED THE FIC LIKE TWO SECONDS AGO ngl i so badly wished tommy died, idk im just a sucker for angst and main character deaths ig- but i mean still, im satisfied with the ending. also, yall aint giving punz no credit, i love punz so much even if he had like one paragraph in the whole thing. like, hes just so innocent and trusting and wholesome and idek but hes so perfect, wish he had some more spotlight. anyways, the moral of the story is dont trust scary green men with hammers and knives.
