Glad he went to Jets really. Funny that Rex Ryan thought he was getting that job. My prediction is we get McCarthy. Mainly cuz I think no other team wants him. He was NOT that high in demand when Jerry hired him. Plus losing that playoff game to the Packers when they were heavy favorites is still on everyone's mind. He's way over rated in my book. My personaal choice is Rizzi, keep Klint and run it back with hope we don't have tons of offensive injuries Hire a new DC if they can find someone

The challenge is finding someone that see's New Orleans as a place to be. Right now, from the outside, you see possibility but you also see a lot of challenges that are likley not going to be overcome any time soon. Do we retread an old face with history? No. Do we offer it to someone with no real track record and hope for the best? Likely.

I’m good with Aaron Glenn going to the jets. I know McCarthy is proven but we need a coach with some fire in his blood. Like Rizzi someone who hungry like Sean was when he first came

Glenn is unproven as a head coach . Plus, he’s a defensive coordinator. Saints need a proven coach like McCarthy or Gruden. Next choice a promising offensive coordinator. We tried unproven defensive coordinators with unsatisfactory results.

@@jcollura6766 You embarrass yourself. McCarthy has a .608 winning percentage. Very elite company. He’s been in 22 playoff games and won 11. He’s won a Super Bowl. He’s good with QBs. He made Aaron Brooks a better QB (a major miracle just below turning water into wine). He made Jake Delhomme good enough to be a starter and take his team to a SB. He certainly helped Rodgers and Dak as well. That is a proven record. He got Dallas to three 12-5 seasons in a row. I think the Saints and the fans would be happy with that kind of “unproven” record.

@@supercapitalista5757 Buddy most of those accomplishments were decades ago. The game has passed him by, we all heard him scoff about analytics. We know he rode Aaron Rodgers and was carried to that SB. His Cowboys teams have been the MOST penalized in the NFL every year. They're undisciplined and unmotivated. His clock management in those playoff debacles has been horrific. He certainly hasn't made Dak Prescott a better QB, so your claim that hes a QB whisperer is a little suspect. Mike McCarthy is overrated and there's just no way he makes the Saints better. Rizzi at least has the players respect, is a good motivator, and knows more about our organization. He would be way better than fat stupid loser McCarthy.

@ McCarthy is the embarrassment. He was a good coach in a bygone era. You and others keep bringing up accomplishments from decades ago. And come on, that SB was all Aaaron Rodgers! He hasn't made Prescott a better QB. He publicly admitted he doesn't understand or value analytics. And every year he's coached them the Cowboys lead the league in penalties. He's not a great motivator. He's not an offensive genius, things got SO much worst when he called the plays himself. His clock management and situational coaching we KNOW sucks. I mean compared to McCarthy we might as well just go with Rizzi. At least he motivates his team, they play hard for him!
