Xenia came a long way, a few years ago it was impossible to emulate Saint's Row. Now it runs great on a decent HW with no crashes.

Also, for controller combat, I find it much easier to strafe with the movement stick to line up a target instead of trying to turn the camera. So just turn the camera vaguely in their direction at the correct height, then strafe a bit.
