Whoever wrote this game is fucking brilliant! This is Mel Brooks for a video game age! The humor, the satire, the whatever the fuck this feeling is that I can't quite verbalize is powerfully over the top and ridiculous! I love it! You either get it or you don't with something like this. The way it eases you into the ridiculousness in the first twenty minutes is perfection. It doesn't shoot it's load too early. It perfectly follows up it's escalating insanity scene by scene, frame by frame

Back when the Saints Row games had heart and soul. Even though they were crazy and goofy. I'm actually glad they started going in a major different direction in the third game and then IV because the first two were being seen as GTA clones and the change made them stand out more. They were all games worth playing. You can't say that about the reboot. R.I.P. Voliation. This is one of my favourite openings to any video game ever and funnily enough, it's emotional. It works on all levels and has no right to do so, but it just does. Epic.
