True, way back in the chapters Genos said Garou "My master is beyond any hero you know." Garou isn't just some dumdum antagonist he deduces that Saitama is Genos' master. He only know Saitama by name, until when they fought.

This is, hands down, the BEST moment in the OPM Manga, not only is this a significant moment for Saitama, in which the only person he ever felt any sorta affection for is killed, but also for Garou, in which was the first hero who, with his own hands, killed, truly cementing a pinnacle moment for both of these characters.

I thoroughly enjoy how One Punch Man has just gradually just grown in scale to heights that we really never thought they'd get too. I mean when I watched the first episode I never would have though that it would have gotten THIS heavy or even life threatening for Saitama. It reminds me of Gurren Lagaan in some cases, but GL took a sharp turn in scale towards the end where as this was just a very gradual shift.

Saitama has slain most foes with little effort and even accidently, but the look conveys pure rage, I'm fairly certain that Saitama intends to kill Garou, what tells me is the line that says he guesses he doesn't really have the instinct of a hero after all. In my time understanding tropes and such, the act of no longer holding back is often a last resort intended to finish off their foes, often for good dependent on how truly evil they are. This conflict is really only just starting, he tried diffusing the situation all he could but now it has seemingly costed him the life of Genos. Either way if he saves Garou or not, this will really be the fight of a lifetime.

I wouldn't say that Saitama will "have to fight for his life" or having a hard time in "surviving" Garou. Saitama will struggle, but not against Garou's attacks, but rather keeping the promise to Tareo of not killing Garou, which will now be even more difficult because Garou is drunk with the sliver of power he got from God, he can copy Saitama's moves etc., but there is one thing that is hindering Garou from actually beating Saitama: the limitations of the universe. Saitama is literally not following the "laws of the universe", and Garou is limited by the laws of the universe itself. Another thing; when we get a look of the "bloodied Saitama", I believe that's not Saitama's blood or that he is even wounded; it's Genos' "blood" and Saitama is just, well, "dirty" from all the debris and combat, but not wounded. In short: Saitama will struggle to not kill Garou, and he's not "wounded" but dirty from combat and debris.

During Red Garou’s debut Genos tells him that there’s a man unrivaled in strength and mentions him by name, which shows Garou with peaked interest saying “Master Saitama...?”. So he likely remembers Genos mentioning that fact and used it to his advantage.

This is just the worst Genos has ever had it as we’ve seen multiple instances where he’s used his core to power an attack or was going to use his core to self detonate in a difficult battle. He’s always been “awake” or “functioning” in any instance he’s been beaten down kind of like Krillin throughout most of his losses in DBZ. This time though, from his core being ripped clean out of his chest, he’s probably completely “shut down”. What I think is going to happen is that Dr. Kuseno installed something of a backup power to keep his brain alive if the core was damaged/removed and ultimately he will survive the ordeal. The core itself isn’t damaged, maybe he could make use of Child Emperor, Dr. Kuseno or someone else to reinstate the core after this is all done. I don’t know if he’s going to keep holding onto it during the fight though - he’s probably going to toss it to Blast after they (potentially) get moved to another dimension and he’s gonna settle this fight with Garou. Meanwhile Blast warps back to those on Earth and gives the core to someone who can revive Genos.

I think the faces shown on Saitama and Garou when they’re each throwing serious punches at each other could have a deeper meaning. Garou’s face is mimicking the face that Saitama has had when we’ve previously seen him do his serious punch move. This is analogous to when Garou copied Saitama’s consecutive normal punches, except that time, their faces were identical and the conflict ended in a draw. However this time Saitama’s face has almost become that of a monster which could be hinting that this time Saitama is using a level of power that is too great for Garou to fully replicate. This could also be inferred from the previous chapter when Saitama apologises for being unable to keep his promise with Tareo about not killing/hurting Garou suggesting he was about to go all out. I think the next chapter will show how Saitama’s power is so unimaginably large that not even cosmic Garou can stand up to it and we’ll see Garou lose in a pretty one sided way just like how all of the other fights end up for villains against Saitama.

Garou doesnt read Genos' mind. I think he puts 2 and 2 together from what he knows about saitama from his last encounter with both Saitama and Genos and realising the Master genos was talking about was probably saitama. Maybe he was able to 'read' the name saitama because Idts anybody told garou the name saitama before he did mode: saitama.

Actually. I think he would definitely consider destroying the planet if it meant killing Garou. He doesn’t actually care about the people around him most of the time anyways besides maybe King and Genos, who is now “dead”. And he REALLY wants Garou dead now. Earlier in the comic he said that he really felt like destroying everything and now that desire is just being pushed further now that he lost someone he cared about. So I kinda think Blast it going to end up sending them both to a different place to handle their fight while he handles the injured

I could imagine Blast has to go full out now and besides dimension warp techniques he has to use a very difficult and highly energy consuming time warp technique. With it he gets himself bck to the point god takes Bang´s appearance and talk to Garou. Before anything between those two can happen Blast inteferes by taking garou somewhere else and let him go. Blast is perhaps exhausted now because time manipulation is a total higher effort than dimensions. But now we would be back to a safe position , having everything under control. Genos survives , earth survives too ^_^' and Saitamas quest for seeking a worthy opponent is back again (because I think ist can only be fulfilled at the very end of One Punch Man )

Yeah the term I've heard is Black Rain. It happened after the Hiroshima nuke went off and a lot of ash went into the atmosphere and when it rained the rain contained radioactive materials. There was a shirt donated in 2012 to a museum that had black stains on it and they tested it and it was radioactive. It was from a girl who was there when the nuke went off in 1945 and the shirt was rained on afterwards

Also, one of the few, if not only thing I liked about Garou in this is that he proves the whole issue with the “Extremist with Good Intentions” trope full way throughout the arc and previous appearances. The supposed “Hero Hunter” wanted to aid society from all the corrupt and hidden monsters that went behind a heroic guise but he ended up sinking in his own malevolent juices; a sort of tragic version of “He Who Fights Monsters Will Find Himself Become One” trope. By the end of this arc; I hope Saitama puts Garou down for the good of the multiverse as the former hunter has fallen too deep and sunk to low to be redeemed in this case, the killing of Genoa was probably the final nail that sealed his fate to combat the ultimate hero.

i believe that genos without his core is powered down. however to prevent his actual death from occurring, (which he would have thought of due to his various battles where his body gets shredded on the regular) he has a memory bank in his body or as an external drive. this would allow him to move to a new body whilst keeping the information from the fight. however this also means he could be replicated and we could have a genos army in the future. he'd be pretty unstoppable if he was in multiple bodies and able to fight in perfect sync with himself

It would be an amazing scene if while Saitama and Gorou are about to throw those huge punches. Blast decides to send both of them to a different dimension. Blast panicking, because he thinks the earth is about to get destroyed, he messes up and keeps sending them to different dimensions. As they slow down Saitamas and Gorous punch. Then both fist connect and they end up destroying a whole galaxy or something.

Genos will probably only remember the last time he got upgraded(before he joins the war) if Dr. Kuseno revives him. Getting an upgrade, your memories will be backed up incase something bad happens to the upgrade then that backed up memory will be useful. If Kuseno wants to revive Genos, Kuseno will just use a backed up memory chip from last time he got upgraded 'cuz Genos brain is gone .
