I was actually at dwelling on this problem for a few weeks now. Because I’ve been trying my best to imitate Saito-sensei patterns but at the same time I tried to analyze it down to 3D forms to try to make sense out of it, it was really hard 😂 Now I know sometimes I just need to dial back the logic for a little and that will make the expression much cuter. Thank you sensei!!
These are good tips. I often think I combine focusing on both a cute character while also being anatomically correct, even if the person I'm trying to reference doesn't draw anatomically correct. It's good to have a balance of both.
Great stuff. I'm really hoping some publishers get to do an English translation of the art book.

OH! I am actually thrilled about this new book, I purchased the "how to become good in X months" book last year, but realized that spartan training is not the correct solution for me due to my lack of free time, so this book might be a better fit, hopefully an english version will be published
