I remembered reading your book where you go more in depth with the 3-month improvement method and I think another key aspect in addition to facing your weaknesses as an illustrator is to also have faith in the power of the pictures you create. You may not necessarily be good yet, as you start out, but if you approach each piece you make with the determination to complete it intentionally, according to the goals you envision for the piece, that confidence to keep going and embracing and adapting to your mistakes is the way to keep growing. I've watched so many artists grow stronger each time and it makes me want to keep working hard too! I believe in the power of illustrators making and sharing their art and watching everyone grow! I hope not to give up and keep supporting everyone working hard too! Thank you so much for this video, Naoki-sensei!
The first part of your 3 month method reminds me of master studies done by European painters in the Renaissance! But updated for the modern world. Awesome, Saito-Sensei! Your humor is always on point as well. Also it would be great if you could please link the videos you are referencing in your description box for us foreign viewers who may not be able to find the video with its Japanese title ^^

12:16 The face balance part is accurate.. I'm really bad at drawing men since I have always been drawing girls/women. I've found 3 artists with similar taste/style, as much as I was trying to study and crack down their charm and appeal, I realized that balancing a man's face is my weakest point 🥹
Большое спасибо за объяснение! Также хотелось бы попросить добавить к видео о "методе улучшению рисования за 3 месяца" русские субтитры, если не сложно! Ваши видео всегда вдохновляют 💗
