I watched some other videos about this tool, but none that showed the single cut nor explained what the diff. was between miter and single cut for us non-carpenters. Thanks for making this. I was also trying to see how the numbers change upclose when you move the angles to see how the tool works. Couldn't see it that well, but at least you showed it moving when others just showed it already in place.

Thanks for watching. I noticed the same thing and wanted to be sure to show single and miter. The numbers are small (my only real complaint) and didn't show well on one of my shots (blurry), so I couldn't use the footage. It is easy to follow since the instructions for both single and miter are listed on the tool. It may take some time to learn it and get comfortable, but it is quite handy and worth having around. Some close angles (i.e. 44 or 46°) are easily missed but at least you are closer than guessing or learning to use a t-bevel and protractor.

I've been searching for this video too. I cut about 20 pieces of wood today using mine and none of the angles worked...🤪 I couldn't understand what the inside and outside numbers meant. Lol Good thing lumber's so cheap right? 🤦🏼‍♀️

If you have weak eyes the protractor is very hard to read. I use the Sawset Pro easier on my eyes.

I own a Saker protractor, and love it , but how do you use it when you can't get the arms flat up against your work piece because of a door casing a few inches away from your corner?

For tight spots, you can use a sliding t bevel, then take that to the saker.

Why would the owner's card be the one from the Starrett 505 Protractor? It's almost an exact clone, save the aluminum vs. the Starrett plastic tool.

I believe this is a knockoff from an older model Starrett used to make. I used to own a Starrett and the chart is identical.
