As a fellow New Yorker, I love seeing videos such as these because normally I am always working so I never really have the time to enjoy the city and spend time with my friends but I hope to change that soon. I love NYC, and I never stop being in awe of it despite growing up here.
Even after 7 years, the freelancer struggle with boundaries/ time is real for me(photographer). I wouldn’t change it for the world though. Its so rewarding to be in control of your own ship. If you haven’t already experienced it enough - its easy to follow a slower period with overworking to make up for the slower time but in reality setting those clear personal boundaries year round and sticking with them creates a happier human and gives you a good sense of structure and control that one might experience with a normal job. At least in my experience. For example, having at least one day off and as you mentioned - making an effort to stop working by a certain time. I feel this is such a great thing to implement as it should inevitably make you learn to be more efficient with the time you have during the day. Anyhow, this was an especially cool video to watch as i got to see how you would phrase (translate) a natural English sentence into Japanese (I’m studying Japanese currently). Your English pronunciation is soo good! Many moments you sound 100% native ✨ 🙇♂️

I am your new subscriber from Taiwan, l am also studying for being an international student, your video and knowliedge sharing are very helpful and useful for studying English. I am also studying in Japanese, I can just barely understand some of your video in Japanese. But your Japanese speaking is also helpful for my Japanese listening, though it's tough for me now. :) Like to hear your voice and infromation of being a foregin student in the U.S., it's very interesting and joyful for me.
