When a creative cannot create it is like torture. Literal pain. Out of the CoronaConfinement (see what I did there?😜) came Sakina’s Song of the Day, which gave me back a little sanity. Then, all of a sudden a friend flippantly suggested I enter the Jamaica Festival Song Competition and there was Jon Williams, ready and waiting.
This song for me means hope. It means newness. The thought that something great can come out of the madness that is 2020. For Jamaica it means PRIDE, solidarity and togetherness. Because, I alone am not Jamaica , WE ARE.
