Sutan is so happy and focused today, she didn't even try to eat the dumplings before they were boiled, unusual as she normally tries everything beforehand.

Moe, I really love how you have Sutan use adult ware (like the tea cup for your sakura tea) and Sutan regularly eats regular adult food. What a wonderful way to develop a wide range of tastes and help a child feel comfortable with trying different kinds of foods!

My mom passed away a few years ago. She was born in Japan and moved to the USA when she was in her 20’s. I hate to admit I didnt really appreciate my Japanese culture until she was gone. Omg Moe this is like the third time you've uploaded a video on a Japanese food that I've been thinking about lately and wanting to make. Seriously, it's amazing. I actually made Hanami dango today too! I'm looking forward to watching this video and learning more about this beautiful wagashi. Thank you, our favorite Kimono Mom☺️🌸💗🍡🌿 Edit: if anyone is curious, I made this with Shiratamoko glutinous rice flour (not to be confused with Mochiko) and Jyoshinko (regular rice flour). Im going to try and make dango using Shiratamoko and Soft Tofu like Moe! Also, I used freeze dried strawberry powder and had the same problem of trying to make it pink😭 i just kept adding more and it eventually turned a beautiful pink. Keep in mind that the color gets darker after you boil it! Just in case anyone out there doesnt have food coloring.

Hello Moe, thanks for yet another video! For people who are living in Europe and do not like to use food colouring, you can use freeze dried strawberries or raspberries and powder them. Also, we have antioxidant superfood powders from plants designed for smoothies. (the red one usually a blend of açai, hibiscus, berries and beets) They can be used also. For yellow, I often use the golden milk tea powder with curcuma. For green, I use spirulina powder. All of them do not have a strong taste so they can be used to give color. A package is around 5-6 euros and lasts a long time.

I LOVE the cultural lessons that come with these videos 😍 And of course Sutan's introduction! 😍😍😍
I suddenly remembered a traditional sweets in Malaysia called Kuih Badak Berendam. The pink and green color balls made with flour filling with grated coconut with Malacca sugar in it. The Pandan leaves also using while making this. Then eat it with coconut milk gravy. Many traditional sweets in Malaysia using Pandan leaves and Rose syrup as food colouring. The final result is would be green and pink colour. It has a natural aroma and also delicious. I hope I can go to Japan to experiencing the spring and fall season there. Thank you for introducing japanese traditional food and culture about Japan. I love it! ❤ May you and your family always in healthy, happy and successful.

In Australia I have seen an increase in Japenese food and Ingredients and I am loving it! Finally got to try mochi (so delicious) and watching your channel inspired me to have a go at making ramen for the first time! I love watching your relationship with Sutan and think it would be amazing to see an episode where your mum teaches you how to make a dish, just like you are teaching Sutan (not sure if your kitchen would be big enough for all 3 of you to cook together in there, but that would be fantastic to watch too!). Keep up the great content and I can't wait to visit Japan one day and taste all the wonderful Japanese foods you have cooked.
