osu!, beatmania, Sound Voltex, Muse Dash, whatever the rhythm game you play is, you may have wondered what the story of the rhythm game artists behind the music in-game are. This is a new series where I attempt to explore that, and today we'll be looking at one of the most well known composers, sakuzyo! Learn about the history of classics such as Altale, AXION, Imprinting and more!

It might be getting near to a year since I've seen this song called "synthesized angel" in my recommended list on youtube music. now, at the time, I was mostly listening to all good things with a dash of music from monstercat, mostly stuff off just shapes and beats. But I liked the name of the title and, hell, the image looked compelling so I gave it a listen. Since then, I've been obsessed with this world that song alone brought to life with images. It started with just this image of a colossal, mechanical abomination suddenly rocketing towards the stratosphere, awakened, before it begins to blast the surface of a city made of steel with devastating beams. I saw that so clearly that it didn't take me two days to hash out the rough details in my mind and now, more than a year later, I'm...well ngl, I'm stuck pretty much grinding my drawing ability because I plain always thought I'd suck so I never practiced but now as an adult I wanna. But I gotta keep working and one day I'll be inflicting this story Sakuzyo's pretty much implanted in my brain on the world and then...well idk, it'll prolly not be the greatest but I hope people will at least see why I found value in it, even if they themselves don't like it that much.

This was great, I can imagine a part 2 for Sakuzyo. He moved into some real incredible orchestral stuff after this I think he also made a video game and entire OST in the last few years

Sakuzyo def deserves a part 2; his harmony and instrumentation and sound design have only evolved to become more complex and experimental. He’s gotten into writing in different forms, whether it’s jazzy stuff (Transportation, Never Get To Heaven -Drunk-, etc), or even songs with symphonic aspirations (I am End, Inane, Nirvana). There’s even Rotten Forest, which is highly ambient. I unapologetically love Sakuzyo’s music, and unsurprisingly perhaps, I take a lot of inspiration from him. As a sidenote, he himself takes heavy inspiration from legendary pianist composer Alexander Scriabin, particularly apparent in the recently released piano pieces, especially in Waltz at the brink of the cliff.

The first song i like is refel from VOEZ game. From this, i found many great artcore artist like xi, void (mournfinale), etc and totally changed my perspective about artcore music. Thanks sakuzyo, Lost Memory and Synthesized Angel would be my favorite song all the time.

At first, i know sakuzyo from cytus game in around 2013-2014. Black lair and axion on that time definitely catch my attention. After that, i become one of his fans after listening to scattered rose i found in osu. Dear god, and now Lost Memory still on my top spot in favourite tracks of all time.

I discovered his music first through Deemo, Altale specifically being the one that had stuck with me, striking a big cord of my heart. That song seriously threw me into a fantasy land with the sounds of the bells and the woodwinds, and the gorgeous violins; and I mean years later now when I started using spotify and found that it was on the album Fairythm, that made sense lol. But as much as I do love his other songs on Voez, like Refel being the most known, the song And more or Less definitely has to be my favorite underrated masterpeice! The rapping from Picton gives similar vibes to that of Gorillaz from his flow, and the guitar solo Sakuzyo made near the end of the song is just *chefs kiss* immaculate, truly. I can't even really describe the feeling it gives me? But it makes me feel like I'm in the inner city of an early 2000's video game. Sadly its not on his offical discography on Spotify, but if he ever decides to put it on there one day I will stream it constantly. I also wish it was longer too, at least being a usual 3 minute length song because I feel as though it could be expanded upon with a few more rap verses, and some more of that sick electric guitar. I swear this man is a legend and I hope that he never looses his passion for music.

I watched this video since I really only knew sakuzyo from Fracture Ray and it's remix by StaZyo (sakuzyo and Sta combined) but god damn The main thing that intrigued me was the Chaos Theory part. There is actually a metal band I listen to with the same name so that part made me want to stay for the rest

His music is also now used in the Terraria modding community, now he is indirectly competing with other amazing Terraria music makers such as DM Dokuro and CD Music! On side note, my sincerest condolences to Dokuro and CD cause they quit working for Calamity mod cause of awful drama, Calamity community toxic NGL.

Technically Scattered Rose is the 19th song on Selentia. Track 18 is 04:33 no alarm (sleeping mix), a "remix" of John Cage's 4'33. Confused the heck out of me when I first got the album, but got a good chuckle when I later learned about the original. Also, uh... Scattered Rose's album version definitely isn't supposed to sound like that.

Great video! I didn't know there was so much history to BMS music, and I'd love to hear more. Especially about the likes of t+paz or any other artist known for hardcore. EDIT: I'm dumb you made a t+pazolite video I'll go watch that now. My favorite Sakuzyo track is Suiren, because he really flexes his composition skills in a 9 minute classical song.
