Sal, I've been humming the same thing for over 3 years. It's a mix between the closing credits of a few 80s sitcoms, but for the production companies, not the specific shows. I have such horrible OCD behaviors at 43 that it's definitely kept people away. I've been fixated on my parents deaths since I had a nightmare at 3 years old that someone broke in and murdered my entire family. I was spared because I was completely covered by my blanket, therefore I had a cloak of invisibility. My dad is 76 and my mother just turned 73. I've been a wreck about them passing for 40 years! I rearrange the dishwasher after it's full, color categorize other people's things, alphabetize every VHS, CD & DVD I come across. Even at thrift stores.

You two have great chemistry, and I love this conversation. Somehow a boatload of neurosis has yielded a fun, relaxed conversation. I love when people (especially performers) drop the act and share vulnerable insight. Most grown-ass men can't do this, and that's why Trump. Thanks for sharing your genuine selves.

I think my biggest block would be my ability to notice all the tiny obstacles that get in my way. Like, it's only when I'm in a hurry is when I get stuck behind the slowest drivers or get all red lights. Or yesterday for example. I was about to go back to work (I go home for lunch) and I tripped over the dark dog that was laying in the dark hallway and busted my thumb knuckle open on a wall corner and it was an immediate gusher, so now I had to deal with that while losing my commute to work time. I think Bill Burr talking about having to download an app for a toaster is the best description for it, because that's the seething frustration that comes with each moment like that. I try to notice the good moments as well, and I have gotten better at that, but the bad ones are the easiest to notice and get frustrated with at the drop of a hat.

Sal, funny you should mention the whole pointy object OCD thing. I have a similar issue only not so bad. Wherever I sleep if the pointy edge of an end table, dresser, etc is facing me when I lay down to sleep, I have to cover it with a towel or turn so it's not facing me. Somehow I feel like the point is heading straight for my eye. We both need therapy...lol
