SAL & CHRIS!!! Trick I just learned for stopping anxiety in the moment.. your brain can’t be grateful and anxious at the same time. When anxiety takes hold, look for gratitude. I used this technique for my fear at the dentist 2 days ago and I shit you not, my heart rate got as low as 65 and never went above 90. My last visit, 120-150 THE WHOLE TIME. Had to stop my appointment and reschedule to put me TF out. I sat and thought about being thankful for everything nonstop, including the color of my socks, the comfy chair and it worked! Try it babes ❤
@Eriey3 Жыл бұрын
I’m going to use this with my patients! I’m a dental hygienist. It’s so sad to me when people are so anxious. I had crippling anxiety and the dentist is the one place I don’t get overwhelmed lol idk why, but I will legit tear up with patients just because I can relate to the feeling of panic. I’m so glad you’ve found a method that works 🥰 I have found in my experience thus far, that stress balls/ squishy things to squeeze really help! I let people squeeze this foam tooth when I have to give injections, it helps keep this mind focused on something else. I’m going to add the gratitude aspect now too!

I've been losing weight this year and changing my approach to food has been vital. At first I was ONLY eating vegetables and some chicken/meat. But on Thursday like a clock I would go to Taco Bell and get $25 of whatever. It was subconscious to the point one week I simply forgot, and I realized later than night, "Oh shit I didn't even go to Taco Bell." Around that time I started eating deli sandwiches with some chips, and I realized if I kept the veggies and stuff, but ate some of the more "fun" food like sandwiches/chips/pretzels I wouldn't crave the Taco Bell runs any more. It's been about 10 weeks and I'm down nearly 20lb. (I also run 15-20 miles a week at the gym, but the food has been the biggest factor.)

32,000 calories means around 10 pounds of pure butter. i can eat like crazy, but i can't eat 10 pounds of food in one day and for sure not something as calory dense as butter. Considering this list, 32,000 Calories means more like 20-30 pounds of food.

Yeah this is a binge eating disorder. Another comic I love, Pete Holmes, does a 5 and 2 fasting where he eats fives days a week and will choose 2 days where he fasts. He describes binging on cookies on the days he eats and how he was morbidly obese when he was young. Intermittent fasting caters to people who do things in extremes instead of balanced.
