Infact my father was the Principal Chief Conservator he was posted in Gir wildlife sanctuary and one day he went on a survey with 6 rangers and they got attacked by around 13 or 14 pochers ..... Two pochers got arrested while escaping while the others escaped and 3 rangers were fatally injured my father was shot in the left hand but they were all alive.

The hierarchy of promotion is wrong. After clearing IFoS, a person will be appointed on the post of Divisional Forest Officer. It is one rank up than the assistant conservator of forest. After DFO you are promoted as Conservator of forests.

Yep..u got only 6 attempts now.. The limit is 6 times for general and till age limit for OBC.. First u have to clear prelims and mains after that u will get one form to choose your preference.. There u will have options as IAS, IPS, IFS, IFoS, IRS ...U can choose anyone from here..
