I really like the way you have explained everything. Good job. For all the kids who are watching this video. Knowledge is power. No matter which background you are from, the only thing that would matter in the end is your state of mind. As Mr Jain has mentioned in the video, the packages here are the average values, which means there are people earning less as well as more than the stated values. The key here is to figure out how to enterprise your skillset in the optimum way. CA is a very versatile course. Some of the virtues that can get you ahead are soft skills, ability to build contacts, ability to adapt to a situation and of course, being confident. Set a goal and work hard to achieve it. I know all of these sound preachy but the sooner you figure it out, the better. Good luck everyone.

Exactly my point Prithvi, you've set it out beautifully. There's no guarantee that a CA cannot earn less than 8-10 lacs in his/her first job but then, no degree or course can guarantee that. What really matters to me is that for those who really seek to make a career in this field, CA course provides you with the right set of skills required to make a mark and earn whatever 7-8 digit figures you always dreamt of earning.

Engineering doesn't fetch crores package, not even if you do it from the IITs. Unless you have extra ordinary talent no company will pay you that much. CA is a very versatile course. Ultimately it will depend on how you shape your career with the knowledge you have gained. I know CAs earning 40k per month and on the other end of spectrum they earn in crores. Just knowing the subject is not enough, soft skills, the ability to enterprise your skills, building contacts, ability to adapt to the new technologies.. These are some of the few virtues which will make you Successful, and I'm not just talking about CA alone, it holds true for any field.

I agree that there are CAs who are finding it difficult to find jobs of 6-7 lacs too and this is the reason why I said the Average is around 9 lacs. Also, I think that in many cases these days, low payout has more to do with the economy than the course because this is seen in many courses and not just in CA. You might just have a different opinion and I respect it but I personally love the course for its content. Of course it has flaws and we as a fraternity will work towards doing away with them too. 🙂
