Well here are some brutal truth. 1- Freshers doesn't get 7-8L salary, you can expect salary from 3.5-6L as a fresher. 2- Knowledge of company law is everything. I have seen few CS who are getting 35k in-hand after 5-6yrs of experience. All they do is accounting work and few secretarial work. They're in the company just because it is mandatory. So focus on getting knowledge. 3- Learning should never stop. People who get higher salaries are not just CS most of them has done LLB or MBA or some other courses. 4- Most of the CS vacancy are filled internally, so make sure to build a good network.

I truly agree with you ... What u mentioned is very much practical .... Even after 5-6 yrs of experience, some CS struggle earn 35-40 per month.... & When it comes to practise, all most all the work of a CS can be certified by a CA/CWA.... So what is left for a practising CS...??? Very disgusting... ICSI shud do something to hold CS as a distinctive & unique course like what ICAI does...

I qualified as a CS in 2012 and I think I have enough experience to spoil your mood-😂 (fact check) Tax is mostly taken care by CA's. A few small firms do hire CS for tax just because they are not willing to pay or hire a CA so somewhere down the line you have to compromise with your salary. Talking about salary it's really-really low. When I finished the course (2012) the salary was good as there was a huge demand but now the market is saturated. So if you're starting as a CS most probably you will get around 25000Rs (unless you're a topper of course). *25K is something that you normally get after an MBA with a complete assurance that you would pass, however in CS that's not the case. If you put in some effort and get a good college for MBA then your starting salary would be 5OK much higher than any CS. (Unfortunately that's true) After having more than 10yrs of experience let me tell you CS work is mundane! Very-Very repitative. It's not challenging at all. It's all about handling compliance, administrative work etc. Nothing new or innovative on your part. Also you don't get to do mergers, acquisition, incorporation, dissolution (exciting part of CS work) daily, that's like once in a lifetime opportunity. Daily compliance or administrative work is boring according to me.🙄 (Sorry, but it's true) There are a few CS, mostly of reputed companies who get get salaries in cores (it's true). Your tuition teacher might tell you about these guys to boost your morale, what they don't tell you is that these people have additional qualifications like MBA, LLB and stuff with almost 15yrs plus experience. CS is not bad it's just not that flashy as your tuition teacher might suggest to keep his/her classes running. Yes, you get to go to a 4star (if you are lucky 5star hotel) for AGM, EGM buts thats not something that you get to do on a regular basis.🤷🏻‍♂️ My suggestion- After graduation, Do your MBA from a very good reputed college. Almost every state in India has one. Or Finish your CS get experience (2-3yrs) & then get into a good MBA program.

I'm doing BBA from one of the most reputed college in my city and planning to do MBA from a college with average fee, I've also cleared my CSEET with 67% in first attempt and will give executive this year in june(one module) and another one in December, maybe it will take me 2 attempts per module, meaning 2 years, after which I'm planning to start internship from my city only( JABALPUR, which you can say is top 4 city in MP but lower if compared all India wise), after which I'll start professional and again take 2-3 years to pass(ASSUMPTION!)
