Great videos coach! They breathe new life into my heavy bag workouts. Speaking of which, is it possible to maybe add some more heavy bag content to your vids like this one? I find myself having a hard time translating some of the combos you show in your shadowbox/technique vids to a heavy bag. For example, contra step jab-contra step cross (I end up smothering the bag and have to immediately pivot out). Is that to be expected? Are there other better options aside from pivot out? This is why I'd love to see heavy bag stuff added because then I could just watch your flow. Love the content and the meticulous breakdown of the mechanics. It's very helpful. Thank you.

Yes you are correct the nature of the heavy bag is more for developing strength and resistance to your own punches when they land more than being able to replicate situational punch specific combinations. The bag is that one opponent that will come back at you regardless of what you throw. For Contra punches 1. Build punch resistance on the bag, improve technique and footwork through shadowboxing and then practice with your coach on the pads!!
