Today we are going to have a little fun with duping on WildPrison, possibly one of the most pay-to-win servers I’ve ever seen.

@@chief7573 yea I realized when I was like 12 that the servers would lose nothing by giving me the rank, as giving me the in game items that hold no value & in game currency did not cost them anything. So I figured it would be easier for them to shut up a kid calling their stuff a scam by just giving me the rank I “paid” for. Worked on a bunch of huge servers; if they had a forum & n took PayPal payment for ranks, I probably scammed them for the highest rank, sometimes $200 other times close to $500 or higher.

They are straight up violating laws with those prices, they have the "original prices" end in .98 instead of .99, which clearly means they just picked the prices (the ones that end in .99), doubled them and pretended that the .98 prices were the original prices. Nobody sells things with a .98 at the end.

@@ReaperX7 won't prevent them from recreating everything (maybe after they have to re-buy the game), example lawsuits could be a way maybe, just make a big pay to win server pay a huge bill in justice better game wide moderation could solve this too, make people able to report servers ingame and educate about a few rule breaking common server setups so people can report. If enough reports are made, investigate for a minute, ban forever.

Reminds me of about 10 years ago, in Garry's Mod. My friends and I were playing on a WWII Roleplay server and one of my programmer friend discovered a way to basically dupe your money. At that point, we were so rich that money did not matter anymore. I opened a store on the biggest and busiest corner of the downtown, basically a pawn shop, where I would buy CS:GO skins, Steam Cards, TF2 items, anything that could be re-sold on the Steam Market. I'd buy these items using the duped in-game money. I'd make good offers because I had unlimited money, but not enough that I wouldn't have repeat customers. In the span of a week, I had made 500$ in my Steam wallet just selling skins and marketable Steam items. Just in time for the Winter sales. Good times..

bruh back in the day on gta san andreas multiplayer servers i basically made a macro that exploited one of the jobs you could run the macro wherever and it woul basically try to fish, which usually doesn't work, but sometimes it worked because the code was kinda spaghetti so you just spam it 100 times a second, and basically every server was running this fishing plugin. can just make the money for a supercar on the fly basically, never got banned. but then again you could use offline mods in multiplayer that aren't using extra assets. used a matrix roll mod which i used to glitch out of prison with. used a car hijacker to teleport into cars that were locked, etc. always stole cop cars and tanks. man the good ol' days. btw fuck everyone who plays police or similiar jobs on RP servers, you are literally all power abusers.

Using the credits method, if still available, you should buy everyone on the server TOP rank. If they haven't sold or shutdown the server it would be funny if everyone in tab has top rank. If everyone is P2W, then NOONE IS, and that will get most people to quit, the admins will need to revoke ranks and do a ton of stuff, it will piss off the community, and you walk away laughing!!!

As someone who played this server a fair amount, me and multiple of my friends have been calling this server out for its EXTREME p2w but it always gets shut down by child moderators and people who spend 1000s of $ on it. I'm the only one who didn't get banned from the discord. Their main argument was the credits system which when playing you can earn buycraft currency, but WP+ rank cannot be bought with credits and neither can the special op gkits. The owner is obsessed with votes, and says stuff like 'your mom will die unless you vote' in global chat, spammed. The top donators of the server are huge jackasses who have no life (obv) and are super toxic to any 'poor' person in their eyes. I lost interest in the server as it became (wasn't previously as p2w as it is now) way more p2w, like slots and stuff that cant be bought with credits. I'm so glad someone has finally given them a kick up the ass as so deserved and needed, though as far as OP prison servers go, its one of the better ones which really says a lot about prison servers now. The sweats on this server spend 10+ hrs a day grinding for credits. The server also has a tiktok and that gave me various illnesses.

So yeah I've actually been playing on this server for a while. and i can speak from a firsthand perspective, it's really really bad. the economy is so fucked. you get thousands of keys, the odds of all the luck-based things are super rigged. and it was very P2W. I actually had the WP rank (i got it for free I swear) and was in the tablist throughout the entire video. and something that others have also pointed out, This server resets like every month and a half, most ranks are given away for free, the 50k multiplier for the highest rank means nothing because of how overinflated the entire server is and how easy it is to get everything, and the economy is so inflated by design that there are very few things that would actually cause lasting damage. BUT WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID there are definitely ways to break the server and i hope you try again, this server is a stain and needs to be taken down.

Seems like they used their thousands of dollars from p2w to actually afford a decent anti-cheat (and still doesn't even patch the dupe). I remember this server. I spent an entire month working on my plot land. Cleared every single block of stone out, built a giant end portal on the surface, and where the cleared out stone use to be i build an end island. The coolest thing ive done on minecraft. A week later i decided to join again to check on it. The entire thing GONE. People said the server had to be wiped. Was so pissed

Hearing that manic excitement after seeing the auction house empty is so contagious, I was smiling ear to ear as you went "HOW DO I PLAY PEOPLE, HOW DO I PAY PEOPLE?" Sadly for one really good roblox RPG, it worked too well, but in the opposite direction. There was a really fun RPG game that had its damage numbers start out in the decimals and reached to the tens of damage, and within 2 weeks it died off. A real shame because it was a really well crafted game.

2B2T is actually very honorable. You can by VIP access to skip the que but that's only really for people serious about it and it's marketed as such. It's more of a good way to support the server and get a great perk out of it.

As much as I wish this video meant something, I played on this server before (legit, no dupes/buying) and even as a f2p I still got donor ranks and vouchers and absolute mountains of currencies. In addition to resetting quite often, the server's economy is already so pre-inflated that duping does essentially nothing for the problem. The only real saving grace is that because of the immense inflation, its super easy to get rank vouchers and kits and other very rare items. Some players with ranks will even freely give out extra vouchers they get to new players because they have no actual value.

I call this type of monetization "pay to not play". It exists in so many games, it's sad. And people defend it more often than not. Mostly seen in gacha type games.

@@SiMeGamer gachas do that but more so with FOMO where you could in theory get all the things you wanted in the game, but they very carefully ration out all the resources and pulls you want so that you'll always be worried about not getting the special rare whatever before it's gone. There's usually a way to get extra pulls or resources through other means but it's usually so time consuming that you give up and pay

But if you have an option to expedite the process aka not play as much, it's antithetical to what I would consider good game design. If gacha only offered cosmetics for money, I would be really happy because then everyone is playing on a relatively even playing field and time in the game is almost equivalent to power level, meaning people can know what they need to do for x y and z to happen. Also the design of the game will change accordingly and be more focused on interesting gameplay and story and such, since the gambling aspect doesn't exist for profit. Attachment to characters and gameplay would be. Paying to not play (shortcuts) seems like a bad time to me unless it's a time save for people who can't afford the time and there is no PvP. If there is no PvP, then there is nothing unfair about someone getting 100 more characters than you by paying. You don't interact with them. All in all, it's a complex system and a certain ethical approach to monetizing games. Paying to not play is sadly not implemented as a form to accommodate people without time but rather to force competitiveness through money and not skill. It's rare if a game is viable for both f2p players and whales. The closest gacha I've seen to that is Epic Seven which has a pretty great single player experience despite having so many PvP and coop features.

Welcome to MC Community of Summerhosts, and the actual MC Servers. Even if this is not related, in the community you have a lot of hosting companies, A LOT, if you go around them enough you will eventually notice the same panels. Because they are all summerhosts, they just buy a server out of a hosting company like Hetzner, OVH, slap a panel on it, have a small profit margin and then operate. The problem with this is most of them are operated by people who do not have much experience, and they usually plan their out of business date on purpose, stuff like deletion of all worlds and data without the customer being made aware of. My point being, shit like this happens a lot with the whole MC community itself, nobody seems to be talking about these hosts. Would be cool if someone did

Hey, I used to be a player on this server. I like to point out as well the people who got WP+ actually had to pay with IRL money for the rank or were very lucky and won a giveaway they host (Back when I used to play on the server). The ranks all the way up to WP were able to be purchase if you grind out the credits for it. I had one time where the Owner was making me feel uncomfortable since when I usally grinded on the server I keep noticing the Owner asking me when I'm going to purchase WP+. I believe I was in college at the time so the only money I was getting was money for transport and money for dinner/lunch. So having money wasn't exactly easy to save up since if I want to have spare money I had to limit myself to certain foods and drinks and use certain transport to get to the college I attended. The fact I didn't exactly wanted to purchase for the Rank just made it feel well awkward for me to login since I can possibly guarntee that the Owner was there and was going to asking me if I going to pay for the WP+ rank. I have to say the server is pay to win since the owner will do giveaways to pay people either credits or paypal money and most of the time when the server did a restart and the new season of it begins, there is people who are instantly on the online store buying crates and I believe expansions for the private mine (I could be wrong about this) and they have a huge start so quick which makes it unfair to the people who also started off as well. Even though most of the things can be earned via free-to-play it will take time since you need to earn all of the stuff to get into trading for the credits which requires a lot of playtime to earn one enchant on that server for a single credit especially since most of the enchants are locked behind the levels. I did donate to the server because back then I didn't notice how bad the server was and I had a DM from the owner mentioning that they want to give back to me for donating to the server and I was getting message on the Server about a deal with the owner for the donation which lead to the thing I mention above about me being in college.

I remember my first dupe on Lavacraft. It was an oddly pay to win server with paid unbans, where they banned very easily on extremely simple things. You could go into minigames that gave you armour, click the armour and hold it in your cursor, then die and it would drop into your inventory when you teleported back. Some minigames had fully enchanted diamond armour, and this server's economy definitely wasn't inflated to all hell, so that was definitely extremely valuable.

@@Chloe-ju7jp I wouldn't say so. of course you can buy stuff for money, but you don't need to buy anything at all. most of the top players get all of their money by playing the game, and not by playing for that money. Also there is level requirements on every good item, meaning you habe to play to unlock certain items

Low-key there needs to be a press release about pay-to-win servers, publicizing the extremely large number of P2W servers and offering to help Microsoft with the problem. Given a generous newspaper trying to find something to print, it could well gather a lot of attention.

idea: dupe a ton of stuff on a p2w server, then wait like 6 months and then start distributing, but do it slowly. that way if the admins ever try to rollback the server you’ll still have all the items, and if they really want to roll it back to completely get rid of the problem, they’ll have to also get rid of 6 months of progress on the server (it’ll be better if it’s a skyblock or survival server)

So i just looked at their website. it looks like they are STILL pay to win. they removed some of the rank rewards (namely the ingame money, the lootboxes, and monthly crates). they also removed buying the crates directly on the store, and the lottery thing. but they still have some form of kit which gives you the things they removed from the ranks. and the ranks still give you insane bonuses, and what are essentially the kits they sell seperately.

That's the problem with these trendy "ABSOLUTELY DESTROYING PAY 2 WIN MINECRAFT SERVER" videos... Despite all the fanfare they ultimately achieve a big fat nothing. Server owner finds out Server is rolled back/reset Video is released publicly showing the dupe method Server devs patch the dupe Server then goes back to business as usual

I actually played this server a bunch a while back, although I mostly AFKed after a bit because the keyalls were more useful than mining tbh. To play devil's advocate as a former half-tryhard on there, I actually learned from my playtime that you can grind your way to ranks and just flat out buy them off the AH iyw, and I think the reason the economy's so trash is because of it being a boiler-plate OP prison server. Not defending the prices on the store, just saying f2p'ing it isn't that much less efficient from my experience.

The fact that those Minecraft servers charge more and have 2-3 times as expensive tiers than even the majority of popular gacha games out there, which are already trying to maximize their profits by using questionable monetization methods, says alot.
