I bought Forza Horizon 3 back in high school. it had issues on my pc when I bought it so it went unplayed, but I upgraded to a new pc maybe two or three years later. I went to download it to try it out but it was completely gone from my Microsoft account. it didn't even show up in my purchase history. this should be illegal as it's straight up theft

The stupid part is, all Microsoft had to do is a database transfer from Mojang's servers to their own. They could have had all the information ported over, and just prompted you when you tried to log in to add any other necessary info to complete the transfer to a Microsoft account. Or they could have just left things as they were, but we all know Microsoft is only about farming data and making experiences far, far worse.

I already had a Microsoft account with the same email as my mojang account, and they wouldn't send me an email to my microsoft account to merge them. Attempted dozens of times on separate occasions and it never worked. So I had to re buy minecraft on my microsoft account with my same email as mojang since it wouldn't merge.

You guys should be employed by Mojang to destroy these servers. However, they probably rather keep them.

I don't understand how people dont get what licesnsing is. You do not buy the game to own, you buy a license that lets allows you to play the game, a license that can be taken away.

When you originally acquisitioned minecraft access you signed a contract, a contract that microsoft breached and could potentially cost them thousands.

1.6 is too low when you consider the revenue of at least 1.1 million. thats way too cheap. i'd imagine that rather the earnings would be at like 1.1 million or more. that is not even a PE value of 2. way too cheap. getting 2b2t for 10 million usd and running it would still be cheap.

discount the future cashflows and add some assets (which are negligeable) and then u have it. just think about the line skip feature

I purchased Minecraft in 2012. I have the emails to prove it. I didn't play for about 8 years. I tried to login earlier this year and couldn't. They never tried to contact me to update my account, probably because my account is so old, so I had no idea. Total BS if you ask me.

I didn’t either because when Minecraft was in beta it was a set and forget! Aand I bought it on my moms card, I had no way to prove it was mine, I didn’t know my password, or the email it was purchased on! nothing, eventually I gave in and bought Minecraft again Honestly this whole Minecraft migration thing was so dumb Now a days I don’t play Minecraft often, everytime I wanna play I gotta sign in over and over! It’s ridiculous! Steam doesn’t do this! Other Microsoft accounts don’t do this

my microsoft account got banned right after migrating, making me lose my minecraft account in the process... I contacted mojang and microsoft numerous times over a year and they never told me the reason why that happened

It's always amazing how people can't tell the difference between a license and the acquisition of property. A license is permission to use intellectual property under certain conditions. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with ownership... That's the way it is. Always will be.
