The '89 SSC has always been my favorite Saleen Mustang . . . Love the aggressive stance, the motor upgrades, and the body molding/graphics. What a great car!

It's crazy to say back in the 80s and early 90s the 87 gt 5.0 was a fast car with 225hp.Dead stock with just exhaust it ran a 14.1 at 100 mph and that was fast. But today it would be a joke but I still love the foxbody.

What a coincidence. I knew a guy who lived in San Francisco who had a 89 SSC in the late 90's, which was super charged by a old school Paxton with a dipstick to check the oil in the blower. Car always had a Oregon plate, than he moved there. I wonder if this was the same car. He took me for a ride once. The seats and suspension was a true road race car.

Ya they were overlooked then. I honestly believe they're going to comeback nicely like everyone overlooked the 93 supra and 86' and 87' grand national. They'll get the respect just give it a little time. A 93' cobra at the lowest your talking about $18k. The saleen I can't imagine...

Nice Foxbody coverage. I have a black 1989 Foxbody LX 5.0. My speedo only goes up to 85mph but I peg it all the time.

Steering wheel doesn’t look like my svo. Also my 84 svo came with 5 lug 4 wheel disk brakes and fully adjustable Koni shocks.

Anyway, yeah I wasn't sure about the steering wheel, but I know they definitely took the brakes directly from what the SVO used. The SVO's are definitely a cool car. I saw one at street side 3 years ago for $8,000 that was nearly all original, but with 89,000 miles. I wish I would've bought it now.

Adjustable suspension was already available on the Ford thunderbird before saleen! Easy to adapt to the mustang! This chassis is amazing in many ways!

The 93 SA -10 is by far, my favorite Fox Saleen Mustang. I thought all Saleens came with the "Momo" steering wheel? Anyway, great video, I enjoyed the review.

I totally agree with you about the SA-10. As for as the steering wheel I can't figure it out. Research has yielded nothing, but it certainly looks like what came factory with the '89 SSC. Thanks for the kind words.

I believe that was a option for the momo steering wheel. Due to it not having a airbag. My uncle had a 89' saleen that was a dealer concept owned and optioned out. However, it didn't have the momo in it, but the regular 2arm 89' steering wheel which also didn't have a airbag. As far as everything else he had the neated headrest seats and the rest of the saleen performance package.

A few things to note on this beautiful example of a rare Saleen: 1:This isn't an SVO steering wheel, this one is a Nardi-Personal which if I'm not mistaken Saleen never used ( I could be wrong on this as this model might have used the Nardi), they only used MoMo Veloce and offered the MoMo Monte Carlo as a replacement in the catalogue. The very early Saleen's used a Wolf steering wheel. 2: Incorrect shift knob, early models used Cal-Custom, after that they used Amco knobs. 3: The intake is not a Saleen, that's just a Saleen dress-up plate on the stock Ford. The Saleen intake looked like the one from Vortech. 4: The 104 decal on the bumper, needs moved about an inch or two....... needs to be lined up to the outermost edge of the headlamp. Otherwise it cautions a re-spray or repair of the bumper. Would love to own one of these! :)

🤣nah i'm 39 so last of the GenX, the truth is you don't get much selection of music on KZbin so a lot of it gets reused. I used to have it WAY WAY too loud though. I can't remember if it was still loud back then, but probably since this video is pretty old. I believe I have a different intro now and different music, but I need another new one.
