I was surprised to see the stock rockers. I have a 95 S351 that has Ford Motorport 1.7 pedestal roller rockers on the original Edelbrock heads...Interesting! 🤔💁♂️ Now I think I'm going to re-do my fuel rails lines and put a fire extinguisher in the car... I was also surprised to see my upper and lower intake was extrude honed. I believe the cam may be a custom grind from Comp for Saleen (someone correct me if im wrong! Lol). I have a photo of the engraved numbers somewhere... I think Saleen started with a Lightning 351w shortblock, and the o.e.m. pistons where fly cut. I had a boreoscope down the spark plug hole, and that's what my block had. ..looking forward tonyour next video!!! Thanks for the awesome content!!!👍👍

Loving the updates. That was always one of my favorite saleens for sure. I have three 1982 GT's, 1984 Capri RS, a 90 LX hatchback with a 393w and 76mm turbo, a 91 SSP coupe and I'm restoring a 67 fastback with my Dad. He has a 94 GT and my Mom has an 88 GT. Love the channel and collection. Enjoy it sir

What is the plan with the engine, freshen it or just clean it well and put it back in the Mustang ?

Rare car, only 151 Supercharged S351's made from '94-'98. Colors are evenly split between white, red, and black and a near 50/50 spilt between coupes and speedsters. Yours is 1 of only about 25 white supercharged coupes produced. Is this '95 #064?

Fox body covers where factory on the s351's? shocked they used stock stamped rockers too, thought they would have us rr and steel covers.

It has green injectors, those are 42lbs, the original ones of the SALEEN S351 are red 36/38 lbs, it is possible, hastening to draw conclusions, that the engine is modified in its programming, the PCM is purple and the injectors are colored green were modifications of the time to increase power in supercharged Mustangs.

We’re those mls head gaskets? Sounded like it when you threw it on the floor but that could’ve been anything

That’s scary to see that fuel crossover line blow out like that and cause that fire. I have $35k into my fox and that’s my biggest fear. I’m going to replace them just as a precaution. Thanks again for the awesome video. Keep them coming!

They get crispy and crack the outside gray part is soft but the inside clear fuel line gets brittle over the years and will leak eventually. I found some marine hose that is gray on the outside (matching factory) and soft fuel resistant rubber on the inside. Can't tell the difference honestly with a quick glance and it's made of modern materials so I know it's safe.

CAST PISTONS!?!??!!? NOOOOO!!!! That’s a bomb waiting to go off IMO. Do you have any idea what kind of boost numbers they were running and what the Rpm red line is set at? What size are the valves? If I’m asking any questions you already answered in the video I apologize I was slightly distracted at the beginning I mean no disrespect

Sadly all S351 cars came with Hyper pistons from Saleen. Most all of them have been apart at least once.
@600wheel6 ай бұрын
@@foxjunk73 That makes me cringe, for the amount of power it put out they should’ve just stuck with the 5 L. Forged pistons, already a roller just add aluminum heads

Sir, I'm curious that you don't come with roller rockers, what year is your S-351 ?

I’ve been watching Copart auctions and I’m stunned at the number of classic cars I see burnt. I suspect a lot of shadetree mechanics using Amazon fuel hose with shitty clamps. Was that blown hose carburetor hose?
@foxjunk736 ай бұрын
No it was actually EFI hose. Just think it was worn out. And should have been replaced but wasn't when motor was out.
@nothanks816 ай бұрын
Pretty sure the pushrod sn95's had a few known fuel line/ rail issues. I remember Russel making AN adapters when parts went obsolete for the 94-95 cars but I think that was a feed line, not the rail cross over. Down fall of a 2 year production run. Those parts are no where near as easy to find as fox body stuff.
