SALEM 1692-Our big takeaways after two games

Me and my friends just tried this for the first time. The first time we were 7 and I think it was ok. But the second time we were 6 and I think the witches are overpowered. After the 2 witches killed one villager, they just needed to wait for the first black card. This way, which was fast, the game turned out in an impossible 4 vs 1. I think in a 6 people game it should ony existe 1 witch.

That's great insight! Even with all of the playtesting in the world, some of these games can play out differently in different groups of players - we're all for trying out house rules when you think they might improve the game for your group! Try dropping to one witch the next time you have 6 players, and if that feels too difficult for the witch player, you could see what others rules you might be able to tweak a little to give the villagers a better shot against 2 witches. Has this game phases where the plyers have to close their eyes? And does it need a Game Master?

Good questions! This game does have close-your-eyes phases, similar to games like Werewolf. And it does require someone to play the Game Master or Moderator, BUT the game master gets to participate just like everyone else.
