I think the missing step is to mark Contracted = True on the Opportunity so the contract will be automatically updated with new subscriptions. Appreciate the video. This is very helpful.

That is correct; if the amendment opportunity does not have "Contracted" marked as true then the contract will not update to reflect the amendment!

Thanks for sharing this video. Question - when I renew a contract, I get new subscription records created. Is this normal, or is there a setting that can change this behavior? I expected the existing subscriptions to be updated with the new terms, which is similar to how other subscription-based systems I've seen works.

Were you able to figure out why amendment do not update on the existing contract ? I think you have not set contracted flag to true for amendment opportunity, but even you do this, salesforce CPQ do not update the existing subscription instead it ask you to clone the quote line and zero out existing quote line, update the new quote line with new qty and then contract the opportunity. After doing this, system create 3 terminated subscription and one new subscription which is I am not sure ?

Ha Haaa.. Too good.. One question I have... In your previous video, you've copied the document Id to show the logo... How does it work when you deploy your app to the next sandbox??? The document Id may be different in the new sandbox... Do we have some document/PDF that can provide an indepth knowledge on Salesforce CPQ??

How can I create contract from order ? I know creating contract from opportunity but Want to know process from order to contract.

Contracting from the order uses the same process as contracting from the opportunity, if the ‘contracted’ checkbox is not already on the page layout you may need to add it. You also may want to ensure the order has been activated.

Is it possible to renew a contract without creating a new opportunity? Is it possible to migrate old contract from other legacy app without opportunity?
