If we don't want to use username and password for authentication then we can use JWT flow using digital signature.

I think the error in Named cred is Uri Mismatch which occurred because the URL given in named credential is not the same as CallBack Url in the connected app. 1:18:22

for the username password question we can use custom metadatypes protected one to store the username and password and then use it in code..the custom metadata type access shouldnot be provided to developer..
